Regina watched him and then bit on her lip. In honesty New York was always noisy and it sometimes kept her awake and it would be in those hours where she would sit in the window and think about what would have happened if Brad had come with her. She knew he wouldn't be able to surf but just knowing that he was there would've been enough but then she looked around her apartment and the only pictures she had up was of friends and family and sometimes it was lonely. But he didn't need to hear that. He didn't need to hear that in the night she was lonely and longed to call him. To just hear his voice because of the fact that she needed someone to talk too. So instead she put her eyes down and cleared her throat. "Christmas is the best time in New York" she admitted. "The snow and the ice rink and... Just everything about it is so special that it's hard not to see myself living anywhere else now"
Mike nodded as she spoke. So she was a nurse. That was definitely respectful. He then laughed when she said about only being able to have two drinks. "Well then I guess I will end up carrying you back to the apartment, in sure Brad won't mind if you sleep on the couch... That is is Regina is leaving the couch" he said and pretended to be thinking. In honesty she was, there was no way that she would be able to get something that big in his car plus there was never any space for it to go so she decided to leave the thing and if Brad wanted to get rid of it them that was up to him. "I do" he nodded when she asked if he worked. "I own a surf board shop" he said and then smiled. Regina had helped him out with the money and he said he would pay her back but now he had his own shop and in honesty he was having the best time.

Brad had only been to New York once, although it was the Hamptons and not the city, but he remembered liking it there. It was a nice weather change than what he was used to. He had gone to the Hamptons for a surf competition, but that was pretty much it. It was only a good time to go in the summer, that's one of the reasons he chose to stay. When he didn't decide to go, he didn't want Regina to think that he chose surfing over her which is what it probably seemed like. It had been a situation where it happened so suddenly and she had agreed to go whether he went or not, and it had turned into a giant mess. There were days he always wondered what would happen if he actually went, if he actually packed up everything and gone with her. He'd be lying if he said he didn't think about that for the first year, and how he missed her. And now here they were. He smiled lightly at her mention of the snow, they were definitely opposite in that circumstance. He was more of the sun, heat type of guy, and he knew she loved the snowy Christmas time although it never really snowed here. "No way would I have been able to surf there all year around," he said with a smirk. "I don't know how you can handle the cold, I would have been inside all day," he said chuckling, trying to make light of the situation. Bringing up surfing and living there probably wasn't a smart idea but it made sense to him. "You can't tell me the weather and Christmas there beats it here," he teased. Maybe he had to experience it himself.
Mindy raised her eyebrow and smiled a bit, "Ah, you and Brad must get along really well then," she said. Her brother absolutely loved surfing, so much that he did it as a career and he was good at it. She knew that's why he didn't leave this state. The waves can't get any better anywhere else than here. She had gone surfing a couple of times, sure she sucked but it was fun nonetheless. Every summer she would go out to the waters with Brad and when she got bored of it, she laid on the beach to tan. Finally they reached the bar and once they walked in, she looked around and bit her lip. Not busy at all, but granted it was in the middle of the day. There were a couple of people sitting in different spots, but that was about it. She took a seat and patted the spot next to her up by the front bar for him so sit. There was a woman bartender behind the bar talking to another customer who was on the other end. "So do you do any surfing too?" She asked him as she waited for the bartender to take their order. He looked like a surfer to her, but she hadn't been around in the past couple of years to see if he surfed with Brad.

If she was honest, the cold had nearly beat her. She had nearly packed up and come home but she decided to give it a try and after that she found it was the best time ever. Regina had a whole new winter wardrobe that she wouldn't be found wearing here. And after work she would walk to the Christmas tree at Rockefeller and make her own wish that she would find someone there in New York. She had dated, a few times. But when she hid out in her office so that she didn't have to go on said dates, the guys decided she wasn't the best one for them. "It's different" she admitted. "I love the New York winters because it is cold, it's beautiful to take pictures of and to just have some thinking time to myself, but I do have to say that I prefer Christmas there." She knew that wasn't what he wanted to hear but it was the truth. It was so much more easier there than it was here. Here in Cali there was just so many memories that she couldn't escape from. But in New York.. She was free and able to be her own person without worrying about bumping into anyone she knew.
Mike nodded when she said about him and Brad getting on well. In honesty there were days that Mike wanted to bang their heads together and tell them to get back together, Brad and Regina, but it wasn't anything to do with him. He was Switzerland because the last time he got involved Regina yelled at him and in honestly it wasn't worth the hassle but he did like Brad, he was a good guy. They walked into the bar and he sat down next to her and looked at the bartender, a female down the other end and sighed before he looked back at Mindy. "I do" he admitted. "I find I have more time to myself when I'm in the water and plus I know that Regina can surf too but she just doesn't use it" he smiles and shrugged up a shoulder. "But there is nothing better than being out on that water"

There had been many times where Brad wanted to pack up his things and go to her, to fix what they had and to pretend none of it happened. Every time he would think about it, he knew that he couldn't bring himself to do it. As much as he was in love with her, something inside told him not to and to try to move on. Eventually he was able to somewhat move on with his life, continue his dream in surfing and even meeting and dating someone new. But if he was being honest, there was a piece of him that she still had on him. "Hmm," he quietly said, he didn't expect to hear that from her, but what should he expect, she always wanted to move there and so of course she'd love it there. "Must be something I'm missing about New York, even Brandon enjoys it as well," he said, remembering how his brother had a couple of events there that he needed to be at and every time he'd come home, he'd tell the family about how much of a good time he had there. He hadn't realized he mentioned his brother, as Brandon was the last person he wanted to talk about, but he couldn't help that he remembered how much Brandon loved going there and how often he actually went. "Well I'm glad you love your new life there and got everything you want," he said quietly. The way she spoke about the city and everything about it, he could tell she didn't regret her choice one bit. And even though part of him wasn't happy, the other part of him is glad that she's happy, even if he wasn't a part of that happiness, he still wanted the best for her.
Mindy smiled at him. "So I've heard that the water is very calming and relaxing, and I only agree for those who actually know how to surf," she said, laughing. "I'm actually quite terrible, I know how tread water, but that's about it. If you ask me to stand, you better bet that I'll fall in a second," she smirked, thinking back to the last time she went surfing and how miserable she was. She loved being in the ocean, but something about having to stand and keep balance was not for her. "Either that or Brad is just a terrible teacher," she chuckled, joking obviously. Brad was a professional at it, she just didn't have the same coordination as him. Her brothers may have been more athletic than her, but she was definitely smarter than the both of them. She would school anyone when it came to the books, so that's what she had going for her. When the waitress finally saw them, she walked over and Mindy ordered herself a cocktail drink and waited for Mike to order before resuming her conversation with him, "so do you compete in professional surfing like Brad does too?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. The more she talked to Mike, the more she was intrigued by him and honestly wanted to get to know him more. There was something about him that she couldn't put her finger on, but whatever it was, she was just glad she had someone to talk to right now instead of waiting on her brother.

Regina caught the part where Brad said about Brandon enjoying New York. In honesty what wasn't there to love about it? It was one of the best places to live, although at one point she had said that she would like to go travelling but New York was far enough. It was the other side of the country. "Yeah, he said that he often spends time in New York" she admitted. "I told him to drop in whenever he's in the city" she nodded and then picked up another book. Maybe that was the right thing to say but it was the truth. What was the point in hiding it anymore? Regina and Brandon were friends and if he wanted to pop in and see her when he was in New York then he was more than welcome too. She wasn't doing to stop him because of the fact that he was Brad's brother. Plus Brandon was nice and he was her friend and right now she needed all the friends she could actually get.
Mike had to laugh softly when she said that she was terrible in the water. It had taken him a very long time to get to grips with it too but once he had he ended up loving it more than school, in fact there were times he skipped classes and ended up in the water because it was pretty much all he thought about. But of course getting the wrath of his parents weren't worth it. It was definitely tough when they found out he had skipped school. He smiled softly. "I'm sure he's not a terrible teacher" he teased. Then looked up to see the bartender and he gave her a smile before Mindy ordered her drink. He ordered one too and then gave the bartender another smile before looking back at Mindy. "You know if you want to learn I could teach you. I did actually teach Regina and she's pretty damn good" he admitted. When she asked if he competed professionally, he shook his head. "I have thought about it a few times but never got around to doing it, maybe one day" he was sure that he would do it one day but at the moment he was more than happy with his shop and the morning surf. "Although Regina has been pushing me to go pro" he admitted and then looked up when the bartender brought their drinks "Thanks" he said softly and then took a drink from his glass.

Brad couldn't help but to shake his head a little and chuckle a little sarcastically. "Of course, because you guys are such great friends right?" he asked a little sarcastically. Okay, maybe he was a little sensitive about the fact that Brandon and her were friends and that maybe there was something going on that he wasn't sure about. And also that his instinct was in fact right and that he wasn't totally crazy. Maybe it was a little jealousy, or maybe a combination of everything. "Well I'm sure you two will have a great time," he said as he picked up one of the finished boxes and threw it on top of the other one. He picked up another empty box and helped pack some of the other things that was in the connecting room. He needed to calm down before they got into it again. He had to bite his tongue, not letting himself say what he wanted to say. They had started the day getting along so well even making jokes with each other, which they haven't done in a long time. Then of course he had to bring his brother up and it made things worse. Then he realized that no matter what, where, and when he was around Regina, there was always going to be a part of her that he wasn't able to let go of and maybe that made him pathetic especially if she completely moved on or had no feelings for him whatsoever. Whatever it was, he knew staying angry at her wasn't going to help any problems. Brad headed back into the living room where she was and sighed, "look I'm sorry, for being so on and off and snapping quickly, you didn't come here for that. Whatever is going on between you and Brandon is your business." Even though he hoped to god it was just friends and nothing more. "It just...sucks," he said with a shrug, "So I'll just help you pack everything up so that I can paint the walls dark blue," he added jokingly, hoping to brighten the mood again.
Before answering him, the waitress had brought the drinks over to them and she took a sip out of hers before turning her head to him again. "Are you sure you can handle it?" she asked him with a smile, "I mean as long as you have the patience for teaching me then I'm all in." Yeah she was pretty bad when it came to surfing, and he was going to see what he got himself in to. Now would probably be a good time to say that she wasn't the best of swimmer especially in the deep ends, but she was going to keep that one to herself for now. She took another sip of her drink and nodded her head, "I think you should, I mean I've never seen you surf and all, but us sisters are actually always right," she said, grinning. She had been the one to push Brad to go pro as well. He had been hesitant about it and only did it as a hobby or whenever he was bored, but she knew how good he was and it would have been a waste of talent for someone to work somewhere that didn't make him happy. She'd always joke with him about taking all the credit for his success, but Brad always told her that if it wasn't for her, he wouldn't have. She ran her hand through her thick brown wavy hair and looked down the bar to see the bartender looking back at them before quickly diverting her eyes when the bartender realized she had been staring at the two of them. She then faced forward and chuckled slightly, "looks like someone has the eyes for you Mr. Adorable twin brother," she said with a smirk. She didn't blame the bartender though for not so-subtly staring at him. Figures he'd catch someone's eyes in this bar.

Regina watched him and let him continue to talk. What was the point in arguing even though everything in her wanted too? She was mentally and physically tired and for the first time she kept her mouth shut and let him continue until he walked out of the room. There was a part of her that didn't know what was going on with Brandon. She liked him, he was a good guy and sure before all of that they barely spoke but once they did she found out he was a good enough guy. She pulled her lip in between her teeth before closing her eyes and sighing. Now she really wished that Mike hadn't left her alone because she found the back of her eyes start to burn. For the first time... She wanted to cry. Regina shook that off and opened her eyes once more. The quicker this was done the sooner she could be out of here. She cleared her throat and looked up when he came back into the room. He spoke and she let him before she turned and said "look, I don't know what is going on with Brandon, he's a good guy and right now I need the friends I can get and anyway if you ventured out of this damn state enough then you would see that there was a whole country out there" she moved closer to him and then shook her head. "You are stuck in your ways and you are stuck here and I don't want that.. I wanted to see the City and not dream about it and that is why I left, you could have come with me and you didn't and for the record" she said finally "you are not painting any walls dark blue, I will come back and paint it another colour every time you do" she then poked him in the chest. Her heart was pounding and she was breathing heavy but she found herself looking not at his eyes but at his lips and they looked so good that she wanted to put her own against them.
"I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one with patience in my family" he joked. Regina was definitely patient but he couldn't say the same about their parents. "Plus it'll give me something to work on" he shrugged a shoulder before taking another sip of his drink. Mike had to hand it to his sister, she was usually right when it came to these sorts of things and maybe one day he might take her advice but for now he was happy to run his shop. It kept him out of trouble and that was what he wanted, to stay out of trouble. He looked up when she said about attracting attention and he looked down towards the bartender and he gave her a smile before looking back at Mindy. "I'm not sure whether I've dated her or not.." He said as a joke but he kept his face serious. "Who knows" he nodded before then grinning at her. "Nah, I'm not interested in dating anyone right now or even hooking up so she can look but definitely she can't touch"

Okay he was pretty sure he deserved that. His mood had been so up and down that even he would be physically and mentally tired of it. Hell, he was even tired of it. When she poked him in the chest, he caught onto her finger and held on instinctively for a moment. She wasn't making any eye contact with him, but he was looking at her eyes that were looking at his lips. He hadn't been this close to her since he could last remember. She was close enough to him where all he had to do was dip his face down and he'd be able to kiss her and honestly it killed him that he couldn't do that. Who knows, maybe she'll slap him in the face and that wouldn't be surprising since she just went off on him, letting out everything that seemed to be on her mind. If she wanted to go that route, then fine, so would he. "Okay fine, I'll stop with the Brandon thing...and we'll negotiate the dark blue color," he said, and to be honest, she made complete sense about needing a friend right now. Brad was just going to ignore the part where she said she didn't know what was going on- to him that sounded like something could happen, but that was a fight he wasn't willing to go through. She was also right about him being here and not leaving to explore the other side of the country with her. He was still holding onto her finger, still close to her as he spoke again, "But I'll have you know that for the first month, every single day I regretted not going with you. Every day, I wanted to buy a one way ticket and fly to that city you now call your home. But I didn't and t don't know, maybe it was my pride but then I realized that you still left without looking back. Not even a single phone call or text message. You decided how this relationship was going to end without talking to me about it. I didn't even get any time to process this move or anything, you upped and left the minute you opened the letter," his voice was quieter now, a little sadder, like he'd been holding all of this in too. "That questioned if you even ever loved me at all, that's why I didn't go." He realized he still was holding to her finger so he let go and now he was the one looking away. This was the first time they were honest with each other. The last time they tried, they ended up in a heated argument with her walking away. The second time had been after the dinner party which almost worked out for them, but ended with him letting her walk away.
"I'll take you up on the surfing lessons then, you're in for a big surprise" she said with a smile. She was actually sort of looking forward to it. She hadn't been in the waters since before she went traveling the world and she wanted to go out and try again. Sure she could ask Brad, but he had a lot on his plate right now with everything in his life. Besides, it would be fun to learn from someone new anyways with fresh teaching methods and someone who wouldn't yell at her every five seconds. Mindy rolled her eyes at his last comment about being unsure if he dated her yet or not, but she couldn't help but laugh. "I'm sure if you dated her and broke her heart, that drink in front of you would be on your head right now," she said with a smirk and then laughing again. "So consider yourself lucky buddy," she patted his shoulder. She knew he was joking...or maybe he wasn't, but she knew how the women population worked. She had her fair share of pouring a cup of wine on a guy before if she was being honest. When the bartender realized Mike wasn't going to approach her, she focused her attention on another customer nearby. Mindy couldn't help but chuckle a little, "you really are a heartbreaker aren't you?" she asked teasingly. She finished her drink and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Not that I'm judging or anything," she said with a laugh. The thing about Mindy was she liked learning new things about people, getting to know new people. So far she was really getting along with Mike, which was surprising since she really only met him today.

Regina felt him grab hold of her finger and she wanted to move it around so that he was holding her hand. She missed his touch and yearned for it right now but at the same time he had Alison and she wasn't sure what was happening with Brandon. Maybe she could ask him the next time they came face to face. Maybe there wasn't anything there but friendship and that was okay with her, maybe there was something stronger there and they would have to work that out but right now she was here with Brad and in honesty she couldn't stop her heart from hammering when he spoke to her. Regina listened to what he was saying and in honesty she had to stop herself from calling him in the middle of the night when she couldn't sleep because of the fact that she had missed him more than anything. She had missed getting into bed next to him, whispering that she loved him in the dark after the lights had gone out. His touch, his kiss. She had missed all of it and she wanted that all right now. She pulled her lip in between her teeth once more and then looked up at him. "I wanted to call you every night because I couldn't sleep, there were nights that was so long and I didn't know how I could get through them, I ached for you in ways I didn't know was possible but if you're going to stand here and say you don't think I loved you then you are mistaken." She swallowed hard and then finally said. "Working at Pearson Specter has been a dream of mine for a very long time, they are one of the best law firms in New York and when I got the letter to go there... I had to make the choice there and then, I couldn't stand around and talk about it and it was clear that you wouldn't leave here so I made a choice. Maybe it's the wrong one, maybe it's the best one. I don't know but I missed you every day for as long as I could remember but I had to move on and you have Alison but that doesn't stop me from wanting to kiss you right now" she said finally and watched him for a moment before she shook her head. Regina was tired and bone wary.
Mike had to laugh and then nod his head "Okay I'll give you that the drink probably would be on me" he admitted and leaned against the bar once more. But mostly it wasn't him that broke hearts. He was a hopeless romantic but that didn't mean the girls wanted to stay. They found out he was a surfer, they would date for a while then the girl would get bored because he didn't do any competitions and then it would be the end. So finally after the last girl cheated on him with his best friend he decided to just get more involved with surfing. "But I'm not the one breaking hearts" he admitted and smiled softly before reaching out and grabbing his beer. Mike was usually the one whose heart was usually broken so he just gave up dating all together and ended up keeping that promise for a long time.

His eyes looked back to her as she spoke and finally he kept eye contact as she explained to him how she wanted to call him every night and how she missed him. Hearing that she had missed him and wanted to call him when she couldn't sleep crushed him. In fact it tugged at him and made him feel bad. He should have been there for her. He should have swallowed his pride and at least called her to talk to her. He should have manned up and gone after her knowing how much he loved her and now it was all too late. None of it made any sense to him when it first happened; why she left, why she didn't talk to him about it, why things happened the way it did. But after hearing her explain that she had to make a choice right there and then, it made sense to him. It was her dream job, anyone in their right mind would be stupid not to take the job. Maybe they both made mistakes that they should never have done but she was right about another thing, they both had to learn to move on with their life. He had his life with Alison-well sort of, she wasn't speaking to him at the moment, and she had her big job in the city. Moving on was their only option. Butt sometimes life had a funny way of working, there was a saying that Brad lived by at times....do it now, and deal with the consequences later. So the moment she said that all she wanted to do was kiss him right now, all resistance in his body disappeared and this time instead of grabbing her hand, he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to him, more then she had been before, and pressed his lips against hers. A little over a year. A little over a year since he last had her in his arms and kissed her. This was a kiss that was a year long overdue. It probably wasn't the greatest idea for him to do it, but he didn't care. The kiss was full of heat, passion, confusion, anger, and hurt all mixed together but he couldn't help himself. Finally he pulled away and took a small step back before clearing his throat. He was now no longer making eye contact with her but something to the side of the room as he used his hand to rub the back of his neck, "Sorry," he whispered. "You should go live your dream," he said with a pained smile. "I'm sorry that I doubted if you loved me or not," he was now looking at her again. He just hoped that now they'll be able to be around each other if they were to run into each other again without getting into an argument.
That made Mindy raise her eyebrows slightly. Again, always surprising her. Maybe she shouldn't be too quick jumping to conclusions, but she assumed that Mike was the heartbreaking type. "Oh? Who's the girl that broke your heart?" she asked curiously. She stared at him, trying to figure him out. She'd been in a situation where she's gotten her heartbroken, which means that something really bad happened to him. If it makes you feel any better, I'm part of the broken heart club too," she said softly. Her last relationship ended pretty badly, resulting in her traveling the world. So maybe it was a blessing that she was cheated on too or else she wouldn't have been able to see the world, but it was still painful. She was in a much better place now that she had time to heal and she was okay with being single. Sure having the company there was nice and having someone to end the day with was nice, but she was extremely cautious to get involve with someone again and her walls around her heart were pretty high. Plus, Brad threatened to beat up the next guy that asks her on a date. He said that's his way of testing how tough the guy really is. He was joking, or so she hoped. The waitress brought them their second drink as she lifted her glass to his, "Cheers to having our hearts broken," she said, laughing lightly making a light joke of the situation before taking a long drink of out her drink. They'd have to get back to Brad and Regina soon to make sure they weren't killing each other right now, but she was having too much fun sitting and getting to know Mike. She just hoped that he was enjoying her company too, if not at least he was looking like he was.

Regina could feel his eyes on her and she moved hers up to look at him before pulling her lip in between her teeth. Over a year she had kept all of that in. She hadn't even told her brother and usually she told Mike everything and he did the same right down to the fact that his last girlfriend had cheated on him with his best friend. She said that she would come back and beat the girls ass for him but then he had laughed, sadly, and said that the last thing she wanted to do was get in trouble at her first job. She had to admit that he was right but he then said that he did punch the friend and told him that he was welcome to her. Regina however had been dealing with her own heartache but she had put her brother first. Brad then pulled her towards him and his lips was on hers and he was kissing her. For the first time in a year he was kissing her and she even got lost in his kiss. Then he pulled away and wasn't looking at her but was saying sorry and telling her to live her life. None of it made any sense. He then finally looked at her and she pulled her lip once more in between her teeth before clearing her throat. It probably wasn't the best idea but it was the only one she had right now, Regina moved forward and then she was slowly moving him backwards til his back hit the wall and her lips was back on his. "Let us have a proper goodbye" she whispered against his lips.
Mike hadn't thought about Georgie in a very long time but that was mostly because of the fact she had left him for his best friend, apparently they were still together, not that he actually cared. But her blonde hair felt like silk and those green eyes... A guy could get lost in them. He had told her he loved her and then the next thing he was getting a message from someone saying that he had seen her and Daniel kissing... He still hated that guy today. He shook his head slightly and then smiled at the waitress when she brought another drink over "To the broken hearts club" he said and clinked his glass with hers before finishing up the drink he had in the last one. Georgie Lane was someone he never wanted to think about again but now he had, he realised that he couldn't get her off his mind.

This time she initiated the kiss as he felt his back against one of the walls and his hands instantly fell onto her waist again. A proper goodbye. The word 'goodbye' is just as painful when said out loud, especially hearing it from her. If this was the last time he'd see her for a while, he was going to make sure she remembered this kiss. It would be the last good moment they would have with each other. He pulled his arms tighter around her waist and in a quick motioned turned so now she had her pinned against the wall and against him. He pressed his lips deeply against hers, a kiss worth a million kisses as it felt like they were the two last people on this earth and needed each other. This was the only thing that made sense to him right now. He didn't even want to think about the other part, about her leaving, about her moving on, and the possibility of never seeing her again unless she had a reason to come back. He deepened the kiss as he thought about how much he wanted this the moment he saw her after all that time. That desire was just hidden with the hurt and anger he had built inside. But now there was nothing holding him back. Nothing that stopped him from running his hand up her waist and arm before placing both hands on the back of her neck as he kissed her. He slowly pulled back just slightly, his lips still brushed against hers as he smirked a little, "I think I like this goodbye better than the last one," he pressed his lips against hers again. For one moment he wanted to forget about everything else and just focus on this. Forget that they weren't a couple, forget any fights they just had, forget that she was leaving back home soon, forget that their lives were a lot more complicated than they thought. It was bringing back the good memories that they shared together and this would be added to the long list. He pulled away just slightly again, "you're killing me here..." he murmured against her lips.
Mindy studied him for a moment, reading his facial expression after he clinked their drinks together. Another thing she was good at was reading people and whoever the girl that broke his heart really hurt him. She wanted to ask him about it, but they did just meet and it was a pretty personal subject to tell someone on the first day they meet each other. Besides, she wasn't that nosy anyways, whenever he wanted to tell her about the relationship, she'll be there to listen. "Whoever that girl is, I'm sure she lost out on a good one," she said, hoping to make him smile a bit. That was the kind of person Mindy was, someone who wanted to make others smile. It was the kind soul that she had that always had it's ups and downs. Sometimes her kindness was her weakness, but seeing people happy made it all worth it for her. "I'm sure we have other members out there, and some waiting to join," she joked. At least she wasn't alone in this 'broken hearts club'. For what it's worth, they both look like they're doing pretty well. "Shall we go and check on Brad and Regina and hoped they haven't killed each other?" she asked, laughing slightly which sadly could be a fifty-fifty shot. Sometimes she wish they could just get back together and stop being so stubborn. "Besides I think we reached our limit of drinks, one more and you'll think I'm trying to take advantage of you," she said jokingly. She looked at her phone to check the time and realized Brad hadn't even called to see where she was. That must be a good sign, she hoped.

In honesty she never expected him to kiss her back. She thought he would come up with something about Alison and then he would leave but he was kissing her back and then turning so that her back was against the wall. She remembered a few times they had done this, him pinning her against the wall and kissing her til he took her breath away. He would often run his hand up her side and wait for her to gasp before taking her lips in his and kissing her once more. It was in this very living room that they had fallen asleep with each other while watching a movie. It was in this room that she first time him that she was completely in love with him, that he was the only guy to make her heart race so fast that she was scared it would come out of her chest. This place held so many memories and as sad as it was, she had to move on. Regina smiled when he said that he liked this goodbye better and in honesty she did too. She ran her hands up his chest and around his shoulders before she put her arms around his neck and said to him. "I love you Brad Hicks, I'm always going to love you" she gave him a softly smile before biting down on her lip. "You know I haven't cleared the bed away yet so if you want to stay..." She said with a suggestive tone. She wanted to spend one more night with him. This was the last time they would be together. Regina wanted to make it memorable for both of them. She moved her hands from his neck and moved them down his chest, her fingers running against his chest as she did so.
Mike looked over at her when she spoke and smiled. In honesty he didn't want to think about Georgie but it was hard not too. She was beautiful and mysterious and it had made him fall for her but he had been stupid and needed a reality check. Not all women were the same but he wasn't going to get his heart broken anymore. "She's not worth even thinking about" he said admittingly. Even though he had once thought about asking her to marry him and was so much happier that he didn't do that "yes maybe getting back to Brad and Regina is best" he then finished up both drinks and laughed softly. "If you get me s loner one then in going to be on the floor" he teased at her before standing up. As much as he probably sounded like an idiot, he didn't like to drink and drive. And if he was going to be driving his sister to stay with their parents then he needed to be clear headed even if sometimes he needed to go into his parents house with enough drink to be brave and say no to things every once in a while.

This was the Brad and Regina that was always so good together. He practically fell in love with her the day he met her and up to the point she moved away, it had been them against the world. Every memory they had together took place in this apartment. From their first time telling each other they loved each other, their first fight, to their first time together, all of the memories were here. So hearing her say that she loves him and always will in this same apartment both brought happiness and sadness to him. He knew he always will love her, there was no doubt about that either. She'd been the love of his life and no one or anything could compare to that. The next thing she asked surprised him though and his answer wasn't going to be surprising either. He wanted to be with her for one last night. Maybe it wasn't the smartest decision or maybe he had clouded judgment but he didn't care. He felt her hand slide down his chest, her touch that was his weakness. That touch making him grab onto her even tighter against him. She had a hold on him that no one else could compare. Without answering her question about staying, he crushed his lips against her again, this time letting his mouth open a little so that his tongue could slip his way to hers, only deepening the kiss. Maybe that'll answer her question. He still had his arm wrapped around her lower waist as he practically lifted her as he moved her backwards as he walked forward. He had found his way to her bedroom, finding the way by memory of course since he was occupied focusing on her. He practically had to force himself to pull away from her lips so that he could press his lips against her neck, barely pressing against his so that his breath was teasing her neck. "Let's just forget everything for one moment," his voice was a whisper against her. If this was the last time, he was going to make it the best time.
"Let's not even talk about her anymore then," Mindy said with a smile. People who hurt them and broke their hearts weren't even worth thinking over. Even though it was hard getting over it, at least they were both better now. Getting over a broken heart always sucked but the healing process made things so much better. It took her a while to get over her ex Conner but she knew she couldn't let him get to her anymore, to hurt her more then he already had. She got up and grabbed her back before laughing at his comment, "Now we definitely don't want that to happen now do we?" she asked as she left the bar with him. "The bartender would definitely have her way with you," she joked. "Besides what would we tell Regina and Brad if the both of us go in there drunk?" That would be funny though, for them to walk in drunk on the two of them arguing. She just hoped things were going well for her brother and Regina. The last thing she wanted was for the both of them to be upset. "Thanks again for coming to grab a few drinks with me," she said, smiling up at him as she walked next to him. His company was much needed after the day she had and would be facing. As fun as it was, they had to make sure the two of them are okay.

If she was honest, Regina had actually expected him to say no, for him to just say that it wasn't possible and she would've understood because of the fact that this was going to be the last time they were like this but this goodbye was so much more better than the way she had left before. It hadn't been ideal but she had to say yes straight away and if he was going to stay here then she might as well just get on the plane and leave for the City and that's what she had done, breaking two hearts as she did but now they were both here and she wanted more than anything to make sure that this was the best way to let go of him.
But rather than saying anything, he kissed her deeply and she knew her answer right there and then. This was his way of saying goodbye too and she was thankful for that because if she ever did come back then they wouldn't be at each other's throats the way they had been when she came back this time. But they would be able to have a very civilized conversation and might even be able to have a laugh and joke but she wasn't sure if she would make it back this side of Christmas, or even into the first few months of next year. Work was going to be hectic, hell it was already and she liked it like that because it gave her less time to actually think about anything. His arms went around her waist and he lifted her up and she gave him a grin as he carried her back to her room. This was the better side of the two of them. This was the bits they were good at. Even if he could actually get her to stop arguing with him with just a kiss. He found it amusing but she found herself feeling frustrated at the fact he knew her so well that he could be able to affect her in that way.
He spoke to her and she nodded before letting his lips fall to her neck before she bit down on her lip. Oh he definitely was good at this. Her heart was pounding in her chest once more and she moved her fingers down to the bottom of his shirt and moved it up and over his head before tossing it to the side and then grinning once more as she took his lips in a hungry kiss this time. Oh, it felt so good to be home. Even if it was only for the night.
Mike had to admit that she was right, the last thing he wanted to do was to think about Georgie because he knew that she would be winning in a major way and he didn't want her to have that control over him again. It had broke him last time in a bad way and he had found himself in a bad place but that wasn't going to happen again because he was done with dating for a while. He laughed softly when she said about the bartender having her way with him and he couldn't help but let a smirk pull at his lips. "Well she can if she wants too, I mean I don't think I would be able to stop her" he said in a teasing tone before looking back over at Mindy and laughing once more. In honesty he wasn't even going to go there with a bartender. "I'm pretty sure that Regina would find it hilarious but I'm not sure about Brad" he admitted before walking next to her. The last thing he wanted was to get on the bad side of Brad especially when it looked like Regina was doing that already. But who was he to judge on what happened with their relationship.
