Regina decided that she needed to take Brandon's jacket back. After all he would be needing it. She was actually dreading going back to the house because it meant that she would have to relive everything that happened the night before. Regina was worried that maybe Brandon would be wrong and that his mother would hate her because of what happened. Allison had got what she deserved and Regina was proud of that but it didn't mean that she was worried what Brandon's mom would think of her. Whether she would see her in a different light. She pulled her lip in between her teeth and waited a moment before she finally knocked on the door. More than anything she wanted to be in and out without thinking about what had happened the night before. She cleared her throat and waited as she crossed her arms over her stomach, Brandon's jacket hanging over her arms. Regina was trying hard not to let her mind wonder to what had happened after she had left. Whatever happened with Allison and Brad was their business. She was just the one who dished out the punch towards Allison and what a lovely one it was. Regina couldn't help but let a slight smile take over her lips at that. Putting Allison down was the one thing she didn't actually regret. Served her right.

After all the drama that happened at dinner last night, with Alison and Regina practically going at it, and Alison finding out that Brad had once planned proposing to Regina, then storming out without another word, Brad had decided to stay at his parents' house last night. Sure he could have easily gone home and waited for Alison to show up again, but it wasn't worth it. Fighting with her was too much work and he frankly didn't want to deal with all of that. Besides, he had way too much on his mind that he just needed time to think. Within a short time, his life definitely did change with Regina showing up once again. Not like she came back to see him or anything like that, but he was able to say what he needed to say to her when they were both stuck in the elevator. Now they were at two different point in their lives and he need to realize that she wasn't the same girl anymore- just like he wasn't the same guy anymore. He was with Alison and he should be happy with his life- but seeing her again made him think about things. He couldn't help but notice the way Regina and Brandon were towards one another- he knew they were just friends but there was something there he couldn't seem to put a finger to. As he was just on his way out of the house thinking of that all, there was a slight knock on the door. Maybe it was Alison coming to look for him. So, as he went to open it, the last person he expected to see stood there right in front of him. He was looking at her, until he looked down to see that she was holding Brandon's jacket in her arms. Last he remembered when he talked to her before she left his parents' house, she wasn't wearing a jacket but now she was holding Brandon's. Since when did she run into him? "If you're looking for Brandon, he's not here," he said a little more bitterly than he wanted to.

Regina looked up at who opened the door, expecting Brad's mom to actually be there or even Mindy. But it seemed as if that luck was against her and she was given the one person she couldn't be within feet of without wanting to yell at him. Things had been good up until she had decided that it was time to take another job in New York. But it seemed as if anything she actually done was against her and she just wanted to give up. But Regina held on in there. "Oh" she said softly and looked down at Brandon's jacket in her hand. "Maybe I could leave it with you then" she said and looked back up before holding out her hand for him to take the jacket. The last thing she needed was to get into another argument with him. She was tired and going back home to New York seemed only days away. Even if she had promised Brandon to stay around for a little bit longer. She wasn't feeling guilty about the fact that she had practically broke up Alison and Brad. The former of the two needed to be brought down and that's what she had done. There was no regrets on that. The only thing she felt bad about was the fact his mom had seen her at her worst. "It's only a jacket. It's not going to bite you. Although if it's Brandon's then who knows" she teased before clearing her throat and standing straight. The last thing she wanted was to get into a teasing match with her ex. It was bad enough that he had to see her holding his brother's jacket let alone tease him. It wasn't as if he would tease her back anyway. He was probably still mad at her. Regina kicked that thought out of her head. He could be mad all he liked, she wasn't going to sit at that dinner table and take all the crap from Alison.

Why did she have his jacket? That was the only thing that was running through his mind the whole time he was staring at the jacket. Not like it should matter to him anyways, but the thought alone of Brandon and Regina wasn't a happy one. Brad knew Brandon was a friendly person with every single person he saw, but this was different. This was his ex-girlfriend and Brandon knew how hurt Brad was when they broke up. Maybe he was over thinking it, maybe...no way. Brandon and Regina were never close, they'd say the occasional hellos to each other when they saw each other at family dinner, other than that nothing. But now here she was holding his jacket. It was pretty late last night when she left his parent's house. It was slowly adding up one by one with him. His eyes moved back up to her as she spoke about the jacket not biting him. Was she actually teasing him about the jacket right now? "Brandon sure knows how to act like a gentleman now doesn't he?" he asked. He let out a small dry laugh at her teasing. "I'm sure it doesn't, I mean you had it right and you seem to be perfectly fine," he said, his voice not wavering as he took the jacket from her and placed it on the table next to the door. He crossed his arm over his chest "so you're heading back to New York now?" he asked her. The two of them talking without arguing was highly rare. Somehow a conversation between the two always ended up with one yelling at the other, but right now he wasn't looking to picking a fight.

Regina couldn't help but raise her eyebrow at what he had said. It seemed a bit sarcastic to her but maybe she was overthinking the whole situation, like she usually did. She watched as he took the jacket from her before clearing her throat. "I'm going to be staying for a couple more days. I have to put the apartment up for sell" she admitted and then shrugged her shoulders. It wasn't as if she would be back any time soon. If ever. And if Brandon was coming to New York then maybe she could get him to stay for a couple of days with her so she could show him around. Regina bit on her lip and then looked around before putting her eyes back on Brad. "Maybe I should just go" she said and nudged her thumb behind her. It was probably best if she left this conversation where it was before it got out of hand. But the whole her mentioning the sale of her apartment was probably enough to cause another wave of fire to come out between them. Maybe it was best that they had broke up when they had. If they were still together then no doubt they would be fighting and that saddened her a little bit but she didn't know why. Maybe it was down to the fact that they had been good together and it had hurt her when he didn't come with her to New York. But that was in the past. He had a future with Alison, or at least she hoped he didn't, and that's all that mattered right now.

Standing in front of her, he couldn't help but to think of what he could have done differently to change this whole situation. If he had fought harder, would she have stayed? He never wanted to be the person that held her back from living her dream, but it hurt him knowing that he wasn't apart of that dream. She had a whole new life in New York, just like he had a life for himself back here in California. She was across the country and she seemed...happy. Of course he was still mad at the fact that she hadn't even told him where she was going so that he could try and fix things. It was like it ended the moment she got on the plane and there were no other options. Her comment caught his attention as he felt a calm composure, "You're selling the apartment?" he asked her, before she was able to walk away. He actually did not expect her to say that or tell him that, and he wished she hadn't. "So that's it huh?" he asked her, his eyes never leaving hers. "Wrapping up your old life here and never looking back," his voice was calm, but it was easy to tell the small bit of hurt he was showing and there was a hint of anger in it. What did he honestly expect though? For her to keep the apartment she no longer needed? Still, just hearing her say that she was selling it didn't make him too happy.

Regina raised her eyebrow before sighing and then nodding. "Other than coming back to see Mike and my parents.. That will be the only time I actually come back to Cali" she admitted and then looked down. "Brad.. We both have different lives right now. I'm happy in New York and you have Alison." Regina wanted to ask whether she was there but in honesty she didn't really care. Alison had got what she deserved the night before. And if there was ever a chance to do over then she was sure it would end up in the same way. With her kissing Brandon as they over looked the city. A smile pulled at her lips but she cleared her throat and tried so hard not to let him see it. The last thing she wanted to do was to admit just what had happened the night before with his brother. Regina ran her hand up her arm. "I don't need the apartment anymore, so It's time to sell up. Unless you know anyone who wants to have it?" she asked but really wasn't counting on it. It was better to sell and be done with it rather than having to deal with the paper work of changing the names over from hers to the other tenants. No, she wanted to be shot of the place. There was just too much history there and it wasn't anything she wanted to be brought into her new relationship. If that's what she would call her and Brandon at the moment.

That she was right about. They both had their own lives to live and he needed to realize that he couldn't keep looking to the past. If he continued to hold onto something that didn't want to be held on, he was wasting his time. He needed to fix things with Alison, just as she needed to go back to New York to live her life. Now thinking that she and his brother had a thing was definitely something he hoped he was overthinking. She had her own life to live though that he wasn't a part of anymore. If she wanted to sell her apartment, then she could go right ahead. That place held many memories for the both of them, and there was no need for her to keep it to be reminded of all of it. "I'll take it off your hands," he blurted, not sure why he actually said that but once he realized he had said it out loud, it was too late to take it back. "That way you won't need to stay here longer than you actually want trying to deal with finding a buyer and whatnot." Was it actually a good idea for him to do that? Probably not, but he had to mean something if he was willing to say it out loud. But it would be good for her to not have to deal with any of the paperwork or finding someone to buy it once it's signed over and it becomes his responsibility.

Regina raised her eyebrow once more. "You want to take my apartment off my hands?" She honestly didn't understand him. One minute he was yelling at her about her not staying here with him and then the next she was taking her apartment off her. It was like having whiplash with him. Either way she would still need to sign the apartment over to him so that meant sitting with Brad for a little bit longer while she signed some papers. Alison will love that. But Alison could go screw herself right now. He was taking her apartment, God knows only why especially with the memories they shared in there. The nights that they used to laugh and snuggle up to a movie. Plus other stuff that she really didn't want to think about. But Regina was thankful either way. She pulled her lip in between her teeth before clearing her throat. "Thank you" she said softly and then nodded before she looked up at him with a soft smile. She even leaned over and kissed his cheek softly before looking over his face. "Really, I mean it, thank you" she whispered before letting her eyes settle on his. They were so close and it was so easy to lean in a bit more and kiss him but no, she was with Brandon now. Or at least that's what she thought anyway and he needed to fix things with Alison. God only knows why he was doing that when he could have someone else. But wouldn't she just practically rip her apart too? She was too complicated to herself let alone to Brad and Brandon.

Taking the apartment from her was probably not a good idea, especially he knew that there were so much things that happened in there. Alison would definitely be pissed off at him for doing this. But he didn't want her to sell it, not to some random person. And it would have been more complicated than needed if she had to search for someone to sell it to. So he did the first thing he could think of and took it off her hands so that she didn't have to deal with it. Brad was taken back by surprise when she kissed his cheek after thanking him. Actually this is the closes they've stood to each other since the last time they were together. "You're welcome," he said softly. When she pulled back and looked at him, their faces were completely close to one another, his eyes looking at hers as she looked at his. Something inside of him wanted so badly to kiss her, to lean her against the wall and kiss her. But he couldn't. Not when he was with Alison and she moved on with her life. "I know I've made myself loud and clear how I felt about you moving to New York and the way things has been in the last few days, but I really mean it when I say I'm glad you're happy." Even that killed him to say to her as he knew it was a life he wasn't apart of anymore, but he meant it. He does hope she's happy and finds what she's looking for. Obviously he was still angry and upset about the whole thing and even with her still, but that didn't mean he needed to hate her for the rest of his life. He kept his gaze on her and let himself smile slightly for the first time in front of her in a long time. He'll probably be mad thinking about this whole thing later, but there was nothing he could at this point.

Regina nodded when he said that she was welcome. She was actually surprised to hear Brad say about the fact he was glad she was happy. In honesty she had expected something more louder than that. About how she was an idiot for selling her apartment. She licked her bottom lip and then nodded once more. "I'm glad you're happy too" even if it's with Alison. That thought curled in her stomach and it made her want to hit him at the back of the head, to smack some sense into him on the whole he could do so much better level. But who was she to tell him who he could and couldn't see. That would be one miserable relationship if she did. Plus Brad was a grown up and it wasn't for her to tell him what to do. But that didn't mean she didn't care. Sure she left as quickly as she could for New York but that had been her dream and while she had sacrificed her relationship with him to do it.. It was the best dream she had in a long time. It meant that she had made up her mind on what she wanted to do with her life. But at the same time she never thought she would lose someone over it. And it was very unlike Regina to do so but she gently put her hand against his cheek. "And I want to say that I'm sorry for everything." She gave him a soft smile and as quickly as her hand had been there it was down by her side again. "Just make sure that Brandon gets his jacket. He lent it to me last night and I forgot to give it back to him when he drove me back home"

And there it was. The one thing he had momentarily forgotten, the thing that had brought her back here in the first place- to return Brandon's jacket. Her mentioning his name again and the fact that he'd been the one to drop her off last night made him frown. Just like that, his mood shifted and he was angry again about the thought of something between his brother and Regina. They were having a good and civil moment between each other for once in a very long time and now it was gone. He took a small step back from her and this time avoided eye contact, "I'm sure he'll be glad to know that you returned his jacket safe and sound," he said, his voice a little cold again. "As for the apartment stuff, you can just leave the keys here and the paper work that I need to fill out and turn in here at my parents home and I'll pick it up later," he said, his eyes focusing behind her at something else. He didn't know if there was actually something going on between Brandon and Regina; he didn't want to know but his gut was telling him that there was something. But did he dare ask her? No. It wasn't his business and he didn't want to jump to a conclusion that would make him seem ridiculous. It definitely would hurt him if he found out there was something going on, they all knew that.

Regina watched as his features changed and it wasn't a look that she actually wanted to see, especially when they were having a civil moment. She couldn't help but frown and watched as his eyes looked behind her and she frowned before clearing her throat. So they were back to how they were before? Regina cleared her throat and stepped forward. "Brad.." she said softly but she couldn't help but frown once more. She didn't understand why he had just changed so suddenly. She thought that they were making process but she guessed that she was wrong. "I'll do that.." she muttered and nodded before sighing and turning away. She hoped that it had gone a bit better than it did but she was always wrong. They were no closer to civilness so she didn't really have any hope of making him see that they could be friends, especially when his moods changed so completely. It was starting to give her whiplash. She gripped the keys to the car that she borrowed from her parents and turned them over in her fingers. Were they ever going to get passed this anger that Brad clearly had everytime Brandon was actually mentioned? She shook her head and moved further and further away from the house.

He couldn't do it- he couldn't be around her knowing that his own brother and the girl who at one point in his life he thought he'd be spending the rest of his life with, are together, if even that. That's why he reacted the way he did when Brandon's name was mentioned about taking her home last night. Did anything else happen? It was none of his business but he wanted to know. There was a small hope in him that he was actually overreacting but he saw the way they acted towards one another...like there was something there. Like something between them just clicked and he hated thinking that. How was he ever going to be okay with her? For a small moment, he knew that they could..they could at least start somewhere with a friendship but even that seemed impossible right now. He meant it when he told her he hoped she was happy, but could he hope the same if that happiness was with Brandon? Brad stood there and watched her walk away, watched her leave again and this time there was honestly nothing he could do. That was it, once she disappeared from his sight he was sure that probably be the last he saw from her unless for some odd reason they ran into each other. He wanted to tell her that he hoped they could be friends, one day maybe, but all he could do was watch her walk away and move on with her life. Like he knew he did too- or had to.

Regina felt like she wanted to cry. But what she wanted to do more was to get away from Brad and everything that he stood for. She was starting to get tired of all this. This was like yo-yo emotions and she didn't need it. She pulled her lip in between her teeth before putting the key into the locked door of her car and pulled it open. She wasn't going to sit here and cry just because she felt like it. No. She needed to be stronger than this and maybe it was time to head back to New York. But rather than start the car up, she just sat there and put her hands on the steering wheel before huffing out an unsteady breath. Were they ever going to get pass all of this anger? She had to move on with her life at some point and sure Brandon probably wasn't the best choice for Regina, especially when he is Brad's brother but no one could ever help their feelings. She couldn't help but wonder if Alison was just a rebound relationship. Sure she had been away for a while but was that what the girl was? If she was then Regina found herself feeling a bit more happier about that fact. She couldn't stand the woman and there was no point in pretending that she even liked her. When Regina felt like she could push the tears away, she started the car and pulled her lip in between her teeth once more before she drove away from the house. Not even glancing towards it as she moved away from the curb.
