"Of course she can't make this easy for us." Bucky comments sarcastically, abandoning the files. Tony might be a genius, but if she didn't spend so much time up her own ass she might realize that not everyone could relate. Especially not the Army vets currently crashing in her eye-sore of a tower. They knew enough to get a mission done. Not enough to relight Manhattan's biggest candle. She could at least post a sign on the wall above a huge switch, labeled POWER HERE.
He swears in clipped Russian under his breath, before holding a palm out towards Teresa. "Can I see my phone?" He asks. It's a long shot. Tony rarely answers calls on a regular day, let alone on a mission. She has secretaries and receptionists and JARVIS for that, and about a thousand people who try to get in contact with her every single damn day. Bucky isn't even sure if Tony acknowledges the fact that she has a phone at all.
"Look through the lockers. See if there's anything of use." Bucky murmurs, nudging his chin towards the three sealed slots in the wall. If anything, they might be able to find a few more weapons to add to his cache. Tony owes him.
He dials her number and presses the phone to his ear, crouching down at the same moment to scan the floor for loose cables or switches or anything. Rather than a simple, normal dial-tone, AC/DC plays across the speaker obnoxiously. Bucky rolls his eyes, reaching out with a metal hand to pluck a pen off of the floor. "Answer for fucking once you-"
"Yello." A woman's casual voice cuts him off. The audio is clear, but even so, Bucky can hear the distinct sounds of metal machinery and gunfire. Bucky rises quickly to his feet, tossing the pen onto the table and striding on long legs back to the computer.
"Stark," He barks out, bending down over the computer. He quickly puts the phone on speaker and sets it on the desk. "How do you-"
"If it isn't Metal Gear Solid." Tony chimes, sounding far too pleased considering the repulsor blasts that continue to make the audio shaky. "Missin' your boyfriend? I can put you through."
"Fuck you."
"Ouch. Touchy."
"Listen." Bucky snaps, right as there's a solid bang on the metal lab door. He doesn't turn, doesn't even react, but Tony suddenly shuts up.
"What was that." She deadpans a second later.
"Mercenaries." Bucky gives a clipped response.
"What?"
"Tower's power is dead. How do I turn it on." Bucky bypasses the question, getting fed up and annoyed. The pounding on the door has subsided to muffled scrapping, and he already knows that they're trying to hook up an explosive charge. It's what he would do.
"Mercenaries?" Tony blurts out, not listening.
"Explain." Bucky snarls back.
"Right. In my lab, on the arc reactor, there's a panel near the base." Tony finally gets to the point, the sudden rush of air making it clear that she's in the air. Bucky smoothly leaps over the ring of desks and lands hard on the other side, scanning around the entire ring of the arc reactor's tank for something that looks like a panel. He finds it on the other side, and he stoops down without hesitation to rip the panel door clean off. He throws the pointless hunk of metal across the room, and it hits the wall right beside the wall of suits with a loud thud. "Are you breaking my stuff?" Tony says from his phone on the other side.
"What next?" Bucky asks loudly, looking down at the rows of switches and levers.
"Any lights on?"
"No."
"Must have blown out the relays. Who did you say these guys were?"
"Don't know. Don't give a shit."
"Okay, Robocop." Tony huffs. "Button on the last row, little red thing. Give it a push" Bucky pushes it roughly. "Anything?"
"Blue light, first row."
"Flip that switch."
Bucky does, and suddenly the rest of the panel lights blink into existence, but the tower itself remains dead.
"What now?" Bucky calls out, but his words are swallowed up by the sudden ground-shaking blast from the other side of the door.

Teresa really didn't even know what half of this stuff meant. In fact she felt like the time Graeme had taken her nurses book and said that he too didn't understand it and yet for her it was as clear as day. This, however, all seemed like complete nonsense to her and was glad that she wasn't trying to be a scientist because she was sure that she would fail right about now.
She looked up at him when he asked for his phone. Teresa reached into the back pocket of her jeans and pulled out the phone that she had put in the pocket not long after getting out of the apartment, the last thing she wanted was to smash the thing and have no way to call anyone with it. She handed the cell over and then nodded when he said about checking the lockers. Just as long as she didn't find more of Stark's notes because she was sure that she would just be even more confused.
Teresa started looking through the first locker and actually found bits of prototypes and then shook her head. She bit down on her lip and looked over her shoulder when she heard a female voice, she rolled her own eyes and went back to the lockers and came to the second one. Rifles. She raised her eyebrow and then actually grabbed a couple
She then came to the third one she actually gasped. Her eyes lit up and she was pretty much like a kid at Christmas. Now this was something she could actually use. She grinned and then looked over at Bucky who was starting to do what Stark told him, of course after trying to get her to focus on getting the power back on and not about the fact there were mercenaries running around this damn place. She reached in and took the thing out, along with the glove and was pretty sure that she had heart eyes. This was the best thing she had seen all day. The thought about the fact she hasn't used a bow in a while being pushed out of her head by this beautiful thing. In fact it actually made her want to sing out but she held off on that one.
Teresa was halfway over to Bucky when the ground shook and she stopped and looked back at the door "Wow that thing really can with stand anything" she huffed out then held up the thing she had in her hands. A couple of rifles and the bow. In honestly she had been tempted to actually leave the rifles but having them out was better then leaving them in the lockers. But Teresa actually felt better knowing that even a blast couldn't get through the damn door. It made the situation somewhat better but the tower still hadn't come on and that was a bit worrying.
The questions about how they had got into the room if the others couldn't was coming back up again but that would have to wait because they had more important things to think about like how the hell was the tower coming to come back on.

A few mugs bounce off of the steel work tables, smashing across the concrete ground into tiny porcelain fragments. Bucky just manages to grab onto the nearest table with an iron vice to keep his balance, panicked blue eyes swinging upwards towards the adamantium door, his heart in his throat. Smoke seeps in through the slim cracks around the edges, black and thick, but the door itself is a tall, intact pillar. The metal hasn't even warped, withstanding a blast that could have easily demolished an entire room. Bucky mutters small praises under his breath
"This is the last time I'm leaving you by yourself." Tony yells through the receiver, "And yes. It can. That's the point. Who is this?" There's gunfire, and Bucky isn't entirely sure if it's on Stark's end, or theirs.
"Teresa. What's next?" Bucky huffs, getting Tony, and himself, back on track. He drops his blue eyes back to the brightly lit panel.
"Are the lights on?"
"All of 'em." Bucky replies, and there's another sharp bang on the door.
"Relays are working, then. Go to my computer, hit Control, S, Enter." Bucky rises swiftly to his feet, vaulting back over the worktable and rounding to the other side where the monitors sit. He gives Teresa a glance, blue eyes scanning the weapons she holds almost proudly in her hands. A quick smile cracks across his mouth as soon as he sees the bow. Of course she'd find something like that, in here of all places.
His fingers dance across the keyboard, putting in the key sequence. With a whir, the computer comes back to the life, the screen blinking on. "Done."
"You're going to hit escape," Tony stars, and Bucky reaches for the key. "BUT!" Tony yells before he can push it, and Buck halts in his tracks. "Everything is going to come back online as soon as you do. Meaning, the door is going to swing open. It's a design flaw. I'll fix it when I'm done fighting hordes of machine-gun-toting undead." Bucky doesn't want to know. "You catch my drift?"
"I got it." Bucky replies, ending the call before Tony can say anything else snarky. "Teresa, get behind cover." He tells her quickly, flicking his blue eyes towards her as his finger hovers over the button.

Teresa was sure that she was going to fall over after the blast but some how she actually managed to stay upright. Maybe she had better balance than she thought she did. She had to admit that she was pretty damn impressed that the door had taken that much of blasting and was still standing. Maybe she needed to ask Tony for that sort of stuff. She found herself wondering if it would withstand anything supernatural but then her thoughts were pushed away when she heard Stark's voice on the other end of the phone once more.
She was going to wave when Bucky said that it was Teresa but then came to realise that she couldn't actually see Teresa so she dropped her hand and then cleared her throat softly. Now really wasn't the time to act like an idiot. But thankfully Bucky gets her attention back on the matter at hand. Even if the last time those two had been in the presence of each other was on Halloween and Teresa didn't actually think she was that impressive and wanted to know what everyone thought was so brilliant about her but now that she was holding the bow in her hand she saw it, even if it was in one thing.
Teresa looked back over her shoulder when there was another bang on the door and actually imagined them knocking on the damn door. She shook her head and looked back towards the cell when Stark said to go to her computer and do what she had said and Teresa was sure that she even caught sight of a smile. Of course she was damn happy to see the bow. It was one of the best things she had seen today, that and of course the fact that Bucky kept ripping things off the wall but he didn't need to know that all.
The door was going to open when Bucky hit escape and the men was going to be coming into the room, well it was going to have to happen at some point and she was actually ready to get this over and done with because she wanted to have a very strong drink and maybe a long fucking sleep.
Teresa moved from the spot and found cover before putting the guns down then pulling the glove on. She now came to realise that there wasn't in fact any arrows with it but knowing Tony Stark it would work in another way.

Bucky's gaze follows Teresa as she quickly finds a spot to hide behind, giving her a nod once she's in position.
Just please fuckin' work.
He hits escape, and with a sudden groan, the tower rises from the dead. He can feel the rumble of the power beneath his feet as it surges through the building, spreading from floor to floor, all the way down. He gazes up, watching as the lights overhead whir faintly, illuminating the entirety of Stark's cluttered lab. Air conditioning ticks back on, filtering calmly through the vents up above on the high ceiling. Bucky turns, gradually, watching each of Tony's suits light up in their cases, until he's facing the only cover they really have. And, like clockwork, the door releases.
It swings inwards, slowly revealing the startled faces of nearly six mercenaries standing on the other side. They each clutch a gun, a little more tightly now that the power has suddenly resumed, but they still look unprepared. Their wide eyes cautiously slide away from the enigma of a door, moving to settle on Bucky's face instead.
There's a beat, a pause, where Bucky just watches them back; hair in his face and head tilting slowly downwards. The first man, a thirty-something year old with acne scars and two-day stubble, swallows hard, adam's apple bobbing. Bucky's mouth twitches upwards at the corners, eyes glowing bright. "Oh shit." The man breathes out.
Bucky surges forward before they can even aim their rifles at him, turning into black smoke before their eyes. They fire at nothing, bullets pinging off of workbenches and the indestructible tank at the center of the room. Bucky appears, as if out of thin air, behind the first man. His metal arm wraps around his neck, twisting sharply to the side. But before the mercenary falls, Bucky uses him as leverage, as dead weight, to swing out a leg and kick the second man directly in the chest. He flies backwards, knocking another shooter right off his feet before they both collapse to the charred hallway outside. A gun swings on Bucky, and he disappears in another flash of smoke, the bullets finding a fellow intruder instead.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS GUY?" One man yells, before pressing a finger to his ear. "We need backup. Send everyone-" Bucky grabs him by the back of his skull, slamming him straight into the adjacent wall.

Teresa tries to calm her heart but it doesn't work because right now the adrenaline is back and pumping through her veins. She wasn't sure if it was to do with the fact that they were in this situation or that she was going to be using this awesome bow. She nods back at Bucky before putting her eyes on the door.
There had been times when she had wanted to ask Barton how the hell he reacted in situations like this, but from what she constantly heard about him was that he came home with some sort of injury. She never knew how she would actually react when in his position but now she was going to find out. The first thing that popped into her head was Bucky's voice telling her not to panic. Surprisingly panic wasn't what was running through her.
The next thought however was, SHIELD could totally kiss her ass. Even if she knew that this wasn't anything to do with them. The lights came on and thankfully so did the air con. But then the door opened and she saw the faces of the mercenaries and there just seemed to be a moment of silence and she waited, her eyes on the guys at the door before she pulling her lip in between her teeth, strands of her dark hair starting to stick to her neck from where she was sweating.
She picks the bow up and smiles to herself. If this is actually something that Stark made then she really did need to try it out and hopefully ask her to make Teresa one. It definitely was one of the best things she had ever held in her hand. It was weird because she was pretty sure she felt the bow come alive when she touched it with the glove and ran her finger down the string which wasn't like the usual string on a bow. No this was pretty perfect for her. She only hoped her shoulder held out long enough for her to help Bucky.
Teresa pulled the string back and to her surprise an arrow was made and she waited. Then went her moment came she let the string go and watched as the arrow moved through the air and was thankful that it didn't hit Bucky. "I have so got to get me one of these" she said with a grin and done the same thing again, pulling the string back and watching as an arrow was created and she let the string go and again the arrow soared through the air. Teresa getting a thrill everytime.
How the hell was she going to go back to using a normal bow now that she had been using this one? She was pretty sure that if she took this one then Stark would hunt her down til she got it back.

A glowing blue arrow hits a mercenary in the chest like a depth charge, exploding into a repulsor blast that knocks him forcibly into the adjacent wall. The concrete crumbles, just as his spine most likely does, and Bucky can't help but pause and watch as the man falls silently to the ground. He whips his head to the side, looking back at Teresa and the hot-rod red compound bow she holds in her grasp. Her smile is wide and exhilarated, and Bucky exhales a sharp, amused breath.
A knife swings at him, appearing just in his peripheral, and he ducks to narrowly miss it. He throws his metal fist out to the side, catching the attacker right in the stomach, hard enough to break ribs. Air bursts out of the man's lungs, but it's the second punch, one delivered from Bucky's human hand, that forces him to collapse to the ground. Bucky twists back up to his feet, drawing his gun in one fluid motion, and delivers two shots into the intruder's back.
"Oh shit, oh shit oh shit oh..." Someone chants quietly from the hall. Bucky glances over through the corners of his eyes, gaze meeting the terrified stare of another mercenary. He's pressed back against the wall, gun clutched to his chest but no indication of him even able to fire off a shot. Bucky turns on patient feet, and takes two steps towards him. "Come on man....I'm not.." Bucky grabs him by the throat, lifting him easily off of his feet. The mercenary drops the rifle to the ground with a clatter, hands scrambling to grab onto Bucky's metal wrist.
"Who sent you." Bucky asks, calmly.
"Justin Hammer." The mercenary says a little too quickly, voice hoarse and pinched tight. Bucky furrows his brows, not recognizing the name.
"Who?"
"I don't know, some rich weapons manufacturer guy." The man squeaks. "We were supposed to secure one of Stark's Iron Man suits. No one was supposed to be here!"
Bucky turns his head to glance briefly back at Teresa, still toting her bow.
"Looks like Hammer doesn't have good intel." Bucky drawls back to the mercenary, head cocking to the side as he focuses his sights back on him. "How many more of you are there?"
"Four on the roof." The mercenary replies quickly. "But Hammer is sending reinforcements. He's got tech, man. Jets."

None of her bows at home has even this amount of destruction in them but oh god, she wants one of these. Teresa was sure that she would sell her car for one of these. She watches as the man falls silent to the floor but she really doesn't bat an eyelid because she was in a moment right now.
She looks over at Bucky and actually catches his eye, the smile still on her lips. Teresa guessed that everyone was different when it came to situations like this but for her it was like lighting up a firework inside of her, everything seemed to be on explosion mode. Barton had wanted to keep her out of things like this, so did Graeme, and would probably go mad at the thought that she was in here doing this but she has never felt more alive.
Teresa was never one to run from a fight and there was no way in hell she would've let Bucky deal with this on his own even if he was more than capable. But she had this buzz and really just wanted to keep going. She watched as he killed another mercenary before heading towards the hall and she bit on her lip before standing up.
She wasn't sure about moving from where she was but she did, even if it was a bit to the side and watched as Bucky, again, looked in her direction. Teresa caught a bit of the conversation that was going on between Bucky and the mercenary before she looked around the room. She had to admit that Stark caused a hell of a lot of trouble with those damn suits but there was no way in hell that they were going to get the damn things.
So there was four on the roof but more on the way. She bit on her lip and glanced down at the bow, she would take down as many of them as she could, which seemed like a lot especially with what it could actually do. Her eyes then fell down to the rifles that she had put on the floor in front of her. She had to admit that the bow was more powerful than the rifle so she was going to stick with that.
As soon as this was all over, Teresa definitely was going to need a strong drink.

Bucky rolls his jaw. A part of him wants to laugh; not because this guy looks close to pissing his pants, or that he, of all people, is the one who has to clean up this mess. But because a fucking weapons manufacturer, with jets apparently, can't even build a fucking Iron Man suit himself. It's like a bad joke, one that's gonna result in a lot of people getting hurt because some asshole decided that Tony Stark would absolutely leave his tower and his tech unattended.
Well, Hammer was only half wrong.
Tony definitely owes him.
"Please don't kill me," The mercenary pleads like a child, and Bucky snaps out of his thoughts to look the man in the face. He plants on a fake, reassuring smile.
"Course not." He replies. The man breathes out a sigh of relief, right before Bucky slams his head into the wall. Unconscious, the man drops like a sack of bricks to the ground, right on top of his discarded rifle. Bucky turns away, rolling his neck to the side to free it of the nagging kink setting in place as he steps back into the lab. "JARVIS. You there." He calls out, strolling towards the computer monitors. A stray bullet is wedged in the screen on the left, creating a spiderweb of cracks across the thin glass. Stark can bitch later.
"Yes, sir. It's good to be back." The computer replies wearily. Bucky didn't think computers could sound like that.
"Give me a feed of the roof."
"Yes, sir." Automatically, the screen lights up with video footage. Sure enough, another helicopter is landing on the aircraft landing pad, five more mercenaries hopping out. These ones have bigger guns. "There are two more incoming aircraft, sir." A smaller image pops up in the bottom right hand corner, showing two blips on a radar.
"What's Stark's security measures for a situation like this?" Bucky asks, brain calculating.
There's a short pause from the computer. "Would you like to initiate the House Party Protocol, sir?"
Bucky furrows his brows, glancing up towards the ceiling. "House Party Protocol?"
As soon as the words leave his mouth, the sudden woosh of doors opening fills the large, open space. Bucky stands straighter, looking around for the source until his blue eyes fall upon the row of Iron Man suits standing like trophies. Slowly, the glass barriers lower.
It clicks in Bucky's mind like a gunshot.
"You've gotta be shitting me."

Teresa watched as the man drops onto the pile before moving over to the computers and putting the bow down. It was actually good to hear JARVIS back then her eyes dropped to the screen and she watched as five more mercenaries got out of the helicopter and she crossed her arms over her chest. "This guy is persistent, I'll give him that" she said and looked over at Bucky before dropping her eyes down to the bow.
Could an one of the arrows take down a helicopter? Hell did they even want to go that way? Teresa was more than happy to try and do it that way as long as it helped stop the flow of mercenaries landing on the room.
She looked up when there was a sound of doors opening and she pushed her eyebrows together, what the hell was House Party Protocol? And she was pretty sure that only someone like Tony Stark would put it under a name like that. Slowly Teresa looked around and saw the Iron Man suits and it might have taken a minute but she too caught on to what Bucky was thinking and she had to laugh softly and grin. "Oh, my god that is brilliant"
Teresa wasn't sure if Bucky would think so but at this moment in time it was absolutely brilliant because it meant that they got help without calling the others back from their trip. Not only that if they had the same power as the bow then she was more than down for this.
She might not understand Tony Stark half the time but she couldn't deny that turning the suits into weapons on their own really did help out, especially when Stark was out of town and there was really only so much they both could do on their own.

"I wouldn't tell Tony that," Bucky replies teasingly. "Her ego is over-inflated enough. But yeah." He murmurs, looking at the line of suits as each powers on, mini arc reactors glowing brightly in the center of their chests. "Brilliant."
"I concur." JARVIS comments, far too sarcastically. "Shall I initiate?"
Bucky huffs out a small laugh, a smile cracking around the edges of his mouth. "Give 'em hell."
With a thud, the suits step out of their cases in perfect unison. Bucky steps out of the way as they march to the center of the lab on their own two feet, moving smoothly and mechanically, joints whirring with a metallic whine after each step. There's a loud strain of metal-on-metal from overhead, and Bucky tips his chin upwards. The ceiling spreads apart, revealing a long cylindrical exit up to the night sky. The moon sits squarely above, but there's not a star in sight. Good ol' New York. Activating their flight systems without a single spoken command, the suits launch from the concrete floor, sailing up and out of the exposed exit hatch.
"I'll direct them towards the aircraft." JARVIS speaks once more, but Bucky is having a hard time taking his eyes off of the disappearing suits. "But there are other intruders already in the building. I trust you have that under control, sir."
"We." Bucky corrects, dropping his gaze momentarily towards Teresa. He gives her a short nod. "We have this under control."

Teresa laughs and shakes her head. No, she definitely won't be telling her that. Especially when she actually wants to steal the bow,she might tell her that it works pretty well and it helped her to use the shoulder. Which she was thankful for all on it's own. She had been dying to use a bow for a while now and it had just come back to her like she had never stopped and for that she just wanted to hug Tony Stark, but of course she didn't want her to think that she was one of her fans. Teresa was by no means one of them.
She moved her eyes away from Bucky when he teased her and over to the suits, watching as they step out of their cases. It was a moment that people really had to see to understand what they were on about. There was just something amazing about the suits moving together that even she found hard to not smile about.
Teresa looks up when the ceiling spreads apart and the suits launch up from where they were and out into the night. God, this was a moment that no one had to miss but it was very likely she wouldn't even see this moment again so she kept her eyes on the suits til they disappeared. Good, they were going to the aircraft, it would make it easier to deal with the ones that had landed on the roof.
Then Bucky said something that she never expected him to say and she looked up at him. Holding onto his gaze and nodded before she smiled. "We definitely have this under control JARVIS" she said after a moment of her eyes staying on his. She slowly moved her brown ones away and looked over at the bow she had now acquired. They definitely did have the situation under control this end and she knew that the suits would handle the aircraft their end. So all they had to do was finish it and everything would be over.

"Very well, sir. Madame. Good luck." JARVIS replies.
"Keep us posted, JARVIS." Bucky says, grabbing his cellphone from the table as he makes his way back for the door. He has three missed calls; two from Tony and one from Steve, but he ignores it for now. They'll figure it out sooner or later. He stuffs the phone into the pocket of his black combat pants, and picks up a discarded rifle without pausing as he steps out into the hallway. As we walks, he checks the magazine, the chamber, the safety, all in one single fluid motion.
With the lights on, it's harder to blend in. Everything is thrown in vivid color, and he's a shadow sticking out like a sore thumb. But maybe he can use that to his advantage...
"Teresa," He calls back, glancing briefly over his shoulder before looking ahead once more. "You'll be my six. I'll charge them head on, but you stay back and pick them off from a distance. Odobreniye?" He explains. It's a solid plan. With the bow, she has plenty of range and motion, and the distance will keep her from getting too up close and personal with these so-called professionals and their automatic weapons. She's got good aim, and skill to back that up, but she doesn't have the training that he has. Bucky can't get hurt. Not really. She can. Steve wouldn't forgive him if she did. Bucky wouldn't be able to forgive himself either.
There's a distant explosion, and a crash, and Bucky slows his pacing for a moment as he glances towards the ceiling.
"One aircraft down, sir," JARVIS speaks up, right on cue. "But they're creating quite a mess."
"The mercenaries?" Bucky asks, quickening his pace once more. They're only twenty feet from the elevator doors, but as soon as the words leave his mouth, they open with a ding. "Nevermind." Bucky grunts. The mercenaries catch sight of him, and they all begin a loud chant of orders, guns raising. Bucky yanks a knife from his belt, throwing it through the air with pinpoint accuracy. The blade hits it's target, a man situated on his knee with his finger already on the trigger; the point cleaving right through his black helmet with a loud thunk.

Teresa follows Bucky out, grabbing the bow as she did. For the first time in a long while she actually felt part of a team. Sure it was just the two of them but she still felt part of something good. She was sure that if this was with Barton then he would try everything he could to take on the mercenaries himself and stop her from even helping out. But Bucky had included her even when she hadn't said anything about helping him finish this up.
She looked over at him when he spoke. Teresa was more than happy with that. At least she got to pick them off. Something she had only imagined doing while shooting trees in the woods back home but now she got to do it for real and it was actually exciting. In a very weird way that she was going to blame on the sudden rush running through her. "Got it" she said and nodded after he explained what she was going to be doing.
Teresa looked up when she heard a noise before JARVIS came over the computer and said that there was infact one aircraft down. Good, it meant that there would be less mercenaries this end, apart from the ones that had landed on the roof.
She tried to keep up with him when he quickened his pace once more but failed to do so and then looked up when the ding of the elevator went and she pulled the string back on the bow and saw an arrow appear as if by magic. Bucky got the first mercenary and she got one after that. The guy ended up like the last one but she didn't have time to think about that because she was drawing her next arrow and letting that one go too.
Teresa didn't need to be up close to the fighting, just as long as she had a clear shot of the bad guys then she was completely satisfied.

There's four of them at least, all better protected than the last batch. They kick the toppled corpse of their front-man out of the elevator's opening with little care. Bucky recognizes the lack of empathy. These aren't hired hands brought in straight out of a four-year stint in the Army. These are professionals. Hunters; and not the kind reading scripts for TV.
Hammer must have paid a little extra.
Teresa hits the second mercenary, who slams back against the metal wall of the elevator with a loud clang that shakes the entire thing. The remaining two dodge the second arrow, the blast putting a fist sized dent behind their heads. The elevator shifts, dropping at least a foot from the force of the sudden impact. The mercenaries exchange uneasy glances, before both throwing their rifles upwards with matching determination. They fire off rounds without hesitation or fear, and Bucky suddenly wishes he had Steve's shield. Their aim is good, and Bucky barely has enough speed to throw his metal arm upwards to protect his face from the deluge of gunfire. He spins out of the way, but the bullets chase him.
"Teresa, arrow, now." He yells out, ripping open the nearest door and blocking the bullets with it's steel frame.
