Teresa was thinking about putting a bet on with Lexi but they were pretty much in the same thoughts right now, at how good Steve looked. She pulled her lip in between her teeth before clearing her throat softly and watching as Sam crashes out first, of course Barton is smug about it all.
And that was why she would never go up against him. She does that in archery and really does come out on the losing side no matter what. Then Nat is the next one to come out which actually surprises her because she thought that she would've been one of the last to come out of it.
Then finally Barton does lose and she couldn't help but snort at the fact that he is getting annoyed by it. "Better luck next time, Barton" she said and then shrugs up a shoulder innocently.
Teresa wasn't actually surprised to see Bucky and Steve were the last ones to still be going. In fact it was a little cute because it meant that they both had the same strength and could last just as long as the other. Which then got Teresa thinking about who would last longer in bed. She cleared her throat at that thought and then set her mind on something else. "Twenty says that Steve wins" she said over to Lexi who was way passed blissfully drunk.
"I'll take it" she nodded and then went back to her drink before putting her, somewhat sort of, attention on Bucky and Steve.

"Don't tear up Steve's uniform in the process." Nat comments teasingly as she watches the pair of them race to the finish line. The Captain America jacket was already tight around Bucky's arms, but Bucky hadn't even bothered to take it off before the contest began. The fabric strains as Bucky pushes himself back and forth, and Steve finally notices when he glances over.
"You break it, you buy it." Steve huffs out a laugh before dropping his head back down.
"That a promise?"
"392." Tony announces, keeping an eye on the scoreboard. Bucky has the lead, but Steve is only a step behind him. "397..."
Bucky falters for just a second to readjust his palm on the floor, and Steve catches up in that single moment, causing both of them to hit the four-hundred mark at the same exact time. JARVIS simulates fireworks as the counter halts, and Sam and Nat erupt in unison cheers and whistles.
"JARVIS please tell me you recorded that." Tony says to the ceiling.
Steve sucks in a deep breath and sits up onto his knees; his heart hammering like thunder in his chest. He glances over at Bucky, watching as he rolls onto his back and sits up. The dark-haired man pulls a leg in and drapes his metal arm across his knee, looking far too casual for someone who just completed four hundred push-ups in less than twenty minutes. Steve looks at him in mild disbelief; not because he almost won, but because he didn't.
"You tied on purpose." Steve says without inhibition, keeping his eyes locked on Bucky's profile.
Innocently, the same way he always does when he's been caught in the act, Bucky replies, "Now why would I do that?" A sly smile tugs at a single corner of his mouth that only Steve sees, and he simultaneously wants to call a rematch and kiss the smile right off of his face.
"I give up." Barton huffs, rising sharply to his feet to head back to the bar.

"So I'm guessing that neither of us wins so I'm keeping the twenty" Teresa said over at Lexi who by the way looked as if she didn't care thanks to the amount of alcohol that was pumping through her veins. It was going to be interesting getting her back to the Plaza later.
Teresa looked over at Barton when he joined them and then nudged his arm. "311 wasn't so bad, if it makes you feel any better that's more than I could make" she admitted with a smile before pouring herself a shot and knocking it back. This was actually more than she would usually drink but seeing as Graeme was going to be designated driver then she was more than happy to neck back a few drinks, even if she did promise Graeme that she wouldn't go too crazy.
Lexi blinked then looked over at Barton before smiling at him. "I'm sure there are other things that you win at, Barton. Knife throwing contests or uh, archery" she shrugged up a shoulder before pushing her cocktail glass away from her and leaned her elbow on the bar and putting her golden eyes on Barton once more.
"Well no actually I'm pretty sure that Bucky won the knife throwing contest too but on archery that's a very high possibility" she admitted. It wasn't any secret that she hadn't been able to get back into the groove when it came to archery and got more frustrated with herself as time went on, even if she was practising on Barton's living room range and in the woods not far from her apartment. Teresa knew she would get there one day just at the moment it was going to take lots of pressure on her shoulder and she hadn't been willing to do it.
Lexi smiled softly, if she could of course, at Teresa before biting on her bottom lip. "Does that mean then, T, that you would only win at pool?"
Teresa thought about it for a moment. "That's a possibility but again I'm definitely not sure on that one" It wasn't like she spent all of her free time playing pool, only getting in a game when she got bored at the bar.

Barton pours himself a tall glass of...whatever, he doesn't even look at the label, and scoffs a little under his breath at Teresa's consoling. "That's a nice way of telling me that I got my ass handed to me." He replies, glancing up at her with a knowing look. He's really gotta stop challenging Steve, but he can't help it. Some day, one of these days, he's gonna get the upper hand. And then he's never going to let Steve live it down.
Evidently, tonight was not that night.
"So I concede," Barton sighs out, picking his full glass up. "Rogers is a goddamn muscled Adonis." He says, just loud enough for the man himself to hear.
"Don't feel too bad," Steve replies, standing up a little stiffly. "As soon as you hit puberty, you'll be able to do push-ups too."
"HA!" Sam barks out, throwing his head back and slapping a hand on his thigh.
Barton just glares, too drunk and too tired to come up with anything snarky to say back right on the spot.

"Well maybe now you will learn to not actually challenge someone that you can't win against" Teresa shrugged up a shoulder before giving Barton's a pat.
It had been one challenge that she herself wouldn't have even taken on but then again the males had to always prove that they were the better one of the lot. She bit down on her lip and went back to her drinking.
Then Steve said what he did and she couldn't help but laugh, almost spilling her drink in the process, and she heard Lexi laughing beside her. She then cleared her throat and tried so hard not to laugh again but the comment had been too good especially when Barton didn't actually have a comeback for him.
"Do you want some ice for that burn, Barton?" Lexi asked and looked down the bar at him. It was no secret that the two of them never got on as well as Teresa and Barton. It might have something to do with the fact that they both shared something that no one else could understand, hell Teresa pretty much shared that with everyone of the group, well except Sam and Nat.
Teresa snorted and knocked back a drink. "Don't worry, Barton, they will have something else to talk about by tomorrow." If any of them actually remembered what happened at this party.

Barton shifts his stance, alternating his weight from one foot to the other while his mind churns desperately for a good comeback. He stabs his forefinger into the air, threateningly aiming it straight at Steve's smug smile. His mouth falls open, determined, but...nothing. Silence stretches for a good ten seconds before Barton's shoulders deflate like a pitiful balloon. "That was good." He admits in a deadpan, still pointing. He drops his hand finally and drops his chin, turning a little towards Lexi. "Yes, ice please." He mutters, holding his nearly empty glass out towards her.
Nat snorts a little, and settles back against the cushions of the couch with a shake of her head.
"So do we get anything for winning that little contest of yours?" Bucky asks before wrapping his mouth around the lip of the flask, downing several long swallows of the golden alcohol.
"I'll make a plaque and hang it in the lobby." Tony teases, tipping her glass forward. Bucky shrugs passively at the joke, not minding that in the slightest, before holding the flask outwards. Steve shrugs back into the leather jacket, but leaves it hanging open as he takes the glass bottle from Bucky's metal hand, and takes a few swallows himself.
"I say we make it interesting." Bucky says aloud, and Sam already looks a little amused, knuckle pressed against his mouth and dark brow cocked upwards.
"You're not going to suggest stripping, are you?" Barton huffs out.
"No, actually." Bucky says with an easy grin. "I was going to say you have to jump into the pool, but now that you mention it..." Steve laughs into the golden alcohol, almost choking a little as he pulls the flask away from his mouth.
"We're not playing strip-strength-competitions." Nat replies with a slow blink, but a lingering smile turns her mouth crooked.
"Why not?" Bucky smiles slyly back.
"Because we're not eleven."

They waited for Barton to say something and when he didn't Lexi was actually really surprised. He usually had something up his sleeve to say but this time it seemed like he didn't have anything. Instead he just put his glass towards her and said about that ice. She took the glass and put some ice in for him. "Better?"
Teresa huffed out a laugh before shaking her head. These parties were actually unpredictable. Although she had never actually been to a stark party before but even the ones she had been too when it was just the gang, she had to say that it was unpredictable in what they did.
She looked over at Bucky and Nat when they started talking and couldn't help but laugh once more. In honesty she actually laughed a lot more here than she has the whole week and that was definitely good. "I don't know Nat, I think some of us might be eleven" she said glancing over at Barton and smiling at him.
If she was being honest she had kept this side of her life quiet for so long from Graeme but it actually felt good to be able to share it with him. Some how he seemed to fit into every part of her life and she didn't mind sharing this part with him. She just wasn't sure whether he would still be a fan of Captain America by the end of it.
