The town of Ash lies just west of the coast of the Summer Sea, far from the troubles of the rest of the Kingdom. Its residents are mostly farmers, who grow a variety of fruits and vegetables in the wide open spaces that stretch out for miles. The people of Ash are gentle folk, who have only participated in one war centuries past when an invading nation attacked from the sea, but have seen little excitement since. Despite threats from the new King sitting in Durinhall, Ash has yet to remove the sigils of House Durin from their buildings and businesses, and still sing songs of the Old Family in their taverns.

Gondor is the stronghold of Rohan. Sitting squarely between Rohan's biggest harbor and Durinhall, it is the country's major defense against an attack, should one arise. The city sits atop a high hill that allows the residents to see for miles and miles, including the deserts of Hellbolt and the harsh mountains of Shiprock Bay and the vast Rohan forest. Its ruled, as it has been for a century, by the family of Isildur. During the siege of Durinhall, Gondor was the first city to respond in defense of the Queen, but were too late. Shamed by the massacre and the execution of Balin Isildur, the Lord of Gondor at the time, the city was forced to bend a knee to the new King. Though rumors suggest that an unease grows within its walls.

The Rohan Wilderness has never been conquered and rarely explored. Legends and myths surrounding the vast, unpredictable land has taunted many a man, King, and knight to enter its forests and climb its mountains, but few have ever returned intact. Magic thrives in this land that no man can understand, but the new King has taken upon himself to slowly send soldiers into its depths, building forts as they go. But more and more are going missing, and less is being discovered about this strange wild place. Rumors of the ghosts of the Durin princes are beginning to spread.

Durinhall has been the capital of Rohan for centuries. Sitting atop a winding mountain with only a singular road leading to its Red Gate, the castle has been a beacon of leadership and honor. It has beautiful gardens, filled with every flower one can imagine. The towers stand high, overlooking the great lake and mountains beyond. Within its walls an entire city lives, from cooks and tradesman to soldiers and servants, and for years upon years, since the very day this castle was built, the Durins had lived. It wasn't until Godwin sent two men within the castle that the remaining Durins had to flee their home during a savage massacre. And fifteen years later, Durinhall still stands as a beacon, but for something entirely other than honor.

Nightsong lies to the Northwest of Durinhall, the last actual city in the north. Its most famous for its fountain, lying in the city square for all to see as they shop and explore its old buildings and back alleyways. Yet while this city may seem like a calm, serene place to find yourself after a long journey, its nights are far from quiet. It earns its names for its lively nightlife, bars, brothels, and the singers who gather around the great fountain at night and serenade the dark skies. Lovers embrace in empty archways, men stagger home after several pints of mead, and no one can ever claim that this city is boring.

The North is a wild and unpredictable place in Rohan. Snow and ice dominate the coast and mountains seem to stretch on for miles with no end in sight. Rooks is the last settlement along the northern edge of Rohan, small and isolated and hardly a city. It sits squarely in the Misty Mountains, shrouded in almost constant fog. The men here mine deep into the rocky cliffs, searching for gold and silver and priceless gems. In the fog, all sorts of stories spread. Stories of ghosts and dragons and monsters lurking within the dark caverns in shadows. The Frozen Shore isn't a city at all, simply the last outpost of Rohan before the wild and the Wall separate the boundaries. Only a few, hardened men live here, guarding the narrow pass to the Wall while attempting to stay warm under several layers of fur coats and fires that always seem to extinguish when needed the most. The water is always frozen, always cold, and the ground even more so. The Reach is a unique place, covered in thick snow. Here, the world seems to stretch on forever with not a single person in sight. Few travel this way, and even fewer survive the harsh conditions of this white wasteland. But its mountains and valleys hide something that men still search for, even if they die trying to find it.

Hellbolt seems like an entirely different world. Its surrounded on all sides by desert and low mountains. Clear blue skies reign overhead, but red sand rules underfoot, stretching for miles upon miles. The city shines bright beneath the blazing sun, the buildings bleached white when their stones used to be rouge. Its long been thought of that Hellbolt is its own country entirely. Their rules differ from the rest of the Kingdom, and with its isolation and travelers reluctance to travel within its walls, they get away with murder. Literally. Their prisons are harsh, their justice system harsher, and the entire city runs on a basis of honor equally blood. Its culture is diverse and almost wild, reminiscent of the old natives that used to dwell in the hidden parts of Rohan but have long died out. Its called Hell for a reason.

White Harbor! The biggest port in Rohan also has the biggest reputation, housing drunks, thieves, whores, and best (or worst) of all... Pirates. Long known as Smuggler's Bay until the current King thought to rename it to something far more honorable, business is far from conducted legally in this harbor. This is no place for the honest or the meek. If you want to make money, you have to cheat, and to cheat, you have to be good.
