Lexi watched as he moved in the direction of the bookshelf and put her coffee cup down on the counter before she chewed on her lip. She looks at the box and could help but wonder why he was keeping the last bit a secret from her. But she came to the conclusion that it was more valuable than he was letting on and if it’s one of those moments where whatever it contained hurt him then she would rather spare him the pain and take the lie.
Although she would want to know someday and hopefully he would tell her, hopefully he would sit her down and say exactly what was on the rock that made him want to keep it in the first place and not sell it on like he had said that he had done.
Lexi grabbed her drink once more and took another drink of it and kept the mug close to her chest. Her eyes on him, watching him for a moment and if she’s honest it felt weird to know so much about him but it felt like he was saving her the problems down the line and just tell her things now so that she knew just what she was getting in too. He had been alive for a lot longer than her, he was bound to have his fair share of secrets but she’s not sure if she wanted to know all of them. A little mystery didn’t hurt nowadays.
She’s honestly know sure what to say to that and then she cleared her throat softly and tapped her finger against the mug she’s got in her hand.
