Mia pinches her nose for a moment, a somewhat disapproving tone finding its way to her voice as she says his name. "I know," Durin replies, stepping to her once more. As she drops her hand away, he lifts his own to nudge her chin upwards slightly. "It's....a terrible idea, but..." he shakes his head and sighs as he looks down at her. "If someone has the resources to not only fund an assassin to play messenger, but to also somehow get this information, then that someone might be exactly who we need to stay off this war that Ademar is trying to start." He shifts his hand to cup at her cheek instead, giving her a faint smile, trying to be reassuring.
"And maybe I need to give the man thanks for saving you." He adds on.
Durin has not had very much experience with assassins in his life, more accustomed to orcs and giants and shadowcats than the nastier double-edged blades of politics. But he doubts that very many of them would be all that willing to risk their own neck for anyone that isn't themselves. Murderers generally don't know the meaning of honor. Especially those who have made a career off of it. And while the thought of this man still leaves him feeling uneasy, he would take any ally he could at the moment. When everyone else around them seems to be quickly falling to the side of betrayal.
"But truth be told, I don't know where to start." He admits after a moment, lowering his hand from her face. "Vasha...wanted to speak to me last night. Maybe she knows something more."

He moves over to her and she looks at his face. If she's honest she thinks this idea is a crazy one but then again the assassin did say that if they needed help with the list... but what worried her was what they would have to do in order to get that help that they needed. He speaks while she listens and she sighs when he says about needing to give the man thanks for saving her. Mia looks down to the ground because of the fact that if she wasn't important to Durin then the assassin probably would've let her die.
The coin down her gown is nudging at her brain as if telling her to finally reach down and take it out. If Durin was really serious about this then she might as well tell him the truth and with no one else around and it just being the two of them she could share another little secret with him. But Durin speaks about Vasha and honestly she had completely forgotten that she was even here and that is definitely a terrible thing to say but sadly it was the truth.
"Durin will you shut up for a moment" she huffed out and looked up at him once more, telling her husband and future King to shut up probably isn't the best way to start their marriage but it was either that or she kicked him and right now she didn't feel like causing him pain. Mia would probably save that for later. "I guess I should come clean because that parchment wasn't the only thing that he gave me" she finally said and sighed before she reached down the front of her gown and started feeling her way for the coin. Of course this would look a little bit strange to him but she didn't care.
In the end Mia finally found the coin and grabbed it, moving her hand from her breasts. "He said that if we needed help with the list that wasn't military then I guess to get hold of him" she then held up the coin to show him. "He left this with me and while I wasn't going to tell you about it just yet.. if you're serious about going after the assassin then I knew I couldn't keep it a secret any longer" she kept the coin in between her fingers as she held it up but her eyes were on his face.

Durin lifts his brows when Mia tells him to shut up, his eyes returning to her face in mild surprise. A smile twitches at his lips regardless of the situation, a little amused by how quickly and sharply she had said it, reminding him far too much of their youth. But Mia continues on, and the smile fades once more as he watches her dig into the front of her dress. His brows lift even higher.
She produces a coin from deep in her bodice, holding it up in the air between them and explaining the assassin's intention behind the gift. Durin looks at it, and his bewilderment only deepens. The coin shines iridescently in the sunlight, made of black glass. Obsidian. On it, only a raven's head looks back at him, clutching what looks like an eye between its beak. A sigil he has never seen before.
Durin reaches up to take it from her carefully, twisting it between his fingers and then laying it flat upon his palm. It's smooth, perfectly carved, and he has no idea what the hell it is. By all appearances, it looks like nothing more than a pretty stone. And nothing like a tool that will lead them towards this assassin. "Did he...tell you what to do with it?" He asks, turning it a little warily once more, but there is nothing upon its back. He looks up to Mia curiously, hoping that somehow she has more of an explanation up her sleeve. Because this only produces more questions for him.

Durin takes the coin from her and she watches him and honestly hoped that he would have some kind of idea what they were meant to be doing with it. But with him asking her that made it clear that he didn’t know either so she came up with the best answer that she could give right now. “Maybe this assassin is actually a lot more known that even we know so maybe we show it to someone, I don’t know where, and maybe they will know who we are looking for”
Mia had to admit that that was one question that she never asked him between him giving her the scroll and the coin it was hard to understand just what was happening with the assassin that had been walking around the island getting into see Ademar and letting me Evelyn go. None of it made sense and it was pulling at her brains as to why he would even help them in the first place.
“He just said that if we ever need help with the list that wasn’t military and he gave me that” she then sighed softly and said “What is going on here Durin? Because I am really lost with all of this, trying to understand all of this really is just making my head ache”

Durin looks down at the coin, letting that suggestion circle through his mind. She could be right. Maybe this is some sort of ticket, some sort of key, that will open the pathway they need to find this man. But he doesn't know just who they're meant to show this to, where they might find them, how to get there. Ademar may know. Ademar might have all the answers they need, since it seems he had attempted to hire the man in the first place. But he doubts the disgraced lord will be any more forthright today than he had been yesterday. Not even a night spent in that damp cell is likely to break that man's twisted pride.
"I don't know," he admits, turning the coin back around so that the raven stares at him once more. The sun dances across the surface of the carved stone. "And that's why we need to find him."
The only one who might have the answers to their questions is the same one making them chase after him. They're not going to know anything until they find this assassin. They're not going to have any reassurance until they get the answers they need.
"But I know one thing..." he murmurs, and lifts his eyes back to Mia. "Obsidian only comes readily from the Three Sisters."

Mia listened to him, listened as he talked and then watched him with the coin. She liked it when his mind worked in mysterious ways. There was something beautiful about the way that he would say things but that might be down to the fact that she was still feeling down wedding fever running through her veins right now. Ever eager to touch him only made worse by the fact that she could now do that forever. Could lay in his arms and never have to worry about being separated.
She raised an eyebrow when he kept saying we as if he was including her in this journey. In this mad scheme in which to find the man who had saved hers and Silme’s lives from a man that wanted them dead. Well she guessed that if the situation was reversed then it could’ve been him standing there with the knife only this time he wouldn’t have been stopped. She chewed on her lip gently.
“We?” She asked with a soft tease and watched him. “You want me to come along on this journey too?” Mia might have the coin but really Durin didn’t have to let her go with him but he probably knew that to save him from some headache he put her in on this. Husband and wife team going to find an assassin to get him on to their side that really was an interesting way to be spending a honeymoon that they probably shouldn’t be having.
“Well then Three Sisters we go to first and if he’s not there then we keep looking til we find him” Mia said and nodded once. There was no way they would be heading back to Durinhall without some sort of information on this man.

Mia teases him, asking if he wants her to come with him on this chase to Mahal knows where, and a small smile finds its way back to his lips. Saying we had not been intentional, his tongue just so used to it. The idea of being apart from her, especially now that they've bounded themselves together for the remainder of their lives, is not one he likes to entertain. And though this journey might be treacherous and ripe with danger, he can't imagine going with anyone else but her. She's made it this far, faced Ademar, faced assassins, and he can be the one who protects her from here on out.
And there is no one who will do it better.
"Who else?" He asks her in just as soft a tease.
She does not argue or even look the slightest afraid, instead slipping right back into business and nodding at the decision to head to the Three Sisters. A smile tugs crookedly at his lips, and he tucks the coin away into a pocket. "Feast Fyre will be the place to start. It's already full of pirates and black market traders, I would not put assassins past it either." He admits, huffing out a very slightly amused breath. He's heard nothing but vicious tales of that city. Hell, he's heard nothing but vicious tales about the rest of the kingdom, what with their harsh laws yet sprawling criminal underground. He's smart enough to know that most of it is exaggerated. The scare tactics of a safe kingdom that doesn't entirely trust outsiders. But Durin has never been there himself to know what are truths and what are fictions.
Hopefully most of it is the latter.

If Mia was being honest she wanted to know more about the man who had saved her life but at the same time she wanted to understand just why he would even want to hand over the names at all. Sure his employers had been the ones who wanted him to do it but who was behind that? Who was the ones who had enough money that they could hire him to even pass the names on. And why would he give a coin to Mia? It was all questions that they were going to have to find out along the way as they headed to the Three Sisters and maybe even more places just to find out.
She was glad that he wouldn't make her head home back to Durinhall, not that he could anyway. Mia was the one person he couldn't control and Durin knew that even when they were younger that he couldn't stop her from doing what she wanted. He didn't have to like it but she would do it anyway.
Mia listened to him and her eyes lit up a little "Pirates" she said with a grin before watching him with that same grin. She had never met a pirate and was sure that she wouldn't like them even if they did meet one. They were more likely to rob her than to make her laugh But she was more than happy to actually go with him on this journey after all they couldn't be separated now. She moved over to where he was and put her arms around his neck and then raised an eyebrow.
"You do know that the assassin gave me that coin to look after and it was nestled nice and warm down in between my breasts" she teased him softly before watching for his reaction. The grin threatened to pull at her lips once more.

Durin watches as Mia's light up suddenly at the mention of pirates, a grin capturing her lips and the single word leaving her almost excitedly. He gives a short laugh, shaking his head slightly at her. "Pirates." He replies, arching a brow at her. But he's not sure how excited she will actually be if they do cross any. From what he's heard, they are not like the daring and dashing rogues from the stories. They are brutal, violent men, taking all they can and leaving little to no survivors behind. Bumping shoulders with them is probably the last thing they want to happen on this journey.
Though, to tell the truth, there are plenty of last things they want that could interrupt their search. Durin plans on marching straight for the belly of the beast. And that doesn't always end well or smoothly.
She wraps her arms around his neck, closing the gap of space between them and letting the smile linger on her lips. He exhales a slow breath and looks down at her, comforted by the familiar embrace with all the thoughts running circles around his mind. She teases him, and Durin lets his head fall back in slight exasperation, a snort escaping him. "No other man," he replies, dropping his chin to look back down to her, "has any right to be anywhere near your breasts." He tells her, arching a brow and pressing his face close. "They're all mine." He adds before catching her mouth in a kiss.

Mia feels him relax just a little bit when she closes the gap between them and then laughs softly when he snorts and looks back at her before saying that no other man should be near her breasts but him. "Oh, so that's what it means to be married" she teased once more and quickly before he kisses her softly. It had felt like a long time since she had kissed him but honestly it had only been that morning after their wedding. A lot had happened in such a short space of time and it had made the day seem that much more longer than it actually is.
She moved her hands down from his neck and settled on his chest, her lips still moving against his as she let the kiss linger between the two of them. His lips usually sent her heart pounding hard in her chest. It was just something that usually happened with him anyway.
Mia pulled away from his lips after a moment and looked over his face, she reached up and moved his hair away from his face and smiled at him. It's probably best that they don't continue letting their lips wander the other because this is definitely the last place that they should be putting their bodies together. She chewed on her lip gently before moving her hand from his hair and putting it back down against his chest and looked over his face. It was the best feeling knowing that they would be together forever now that they had tied their lives together.
"It's nice to know that you now own my breasts" she teased at him before leaning up and putting her lips to his cheek before nudging it with her nose. They could only keep this secret for so long but knowing that they still had a lot of time it was nice to know that they had their own little secret once more.

Durin smiles against her lips, happy despite all that has been revealed in just the last few minutes. But with Mia still at his side, he knows he can endure whatever it is the gods decide to throw at him. Be it assassins or pirates or war. They kiss for a long moment, soaking in this moment alone, soaking in what might be their last semblance of normality before they venture even further south, soaking in the simple fact that they are married yet again. Mia is the first to pull away, and Durin is a little disappointed, but knows that the temple rookery is not the best place to let something such as that linger. She teases him again, and his smile ticks a little further.
"I don't think I could ever truly own a single part of you other than your heart," he admits, moving to lay a kiss upon her cheek. "But," another kiss, near her jaw, "I am very protective of them." He jokes wryly, and with a subtle hand between them, cups one of her breasts for just a moment as he catches her mouth once more.
And then, before they could fall too deep down that rabbit hole of want, he draws back away and lowers his hand to take her hand instead. "Come," he says, smiling down to her. "We have a plot to foil and an assassin to catch." And he pulls her towards the stairs leading down.

Mia loves it when he is so soft with her, the man who can get angry when he wants to and she had seen it with Ademar and caught a glimpse of it with Evelyn before but other than that he is as soft as a teddy bear and she wants to hold onto that because of the fact that she loves him. More than anything she doesn't want to lose him so she would rather go on this journey with him just like she had here to Darcy and it had definitely been a trip to remember. It's the first time that someone had openly tried to kill her and not like the whole being blown to Kingdom come in Winterfell.
He spoke and she smiled softly as he kissed her cheek and then her jaw before she laughs softly when he speaks about being protective of her breasts and she then gasps softly as he cups one of them and kisses her once more. She sinks into the kiss and honestly could happily stay like this for a long time and knows that they both can but sadly they had stuff to do before anything else could really happen.
He pulls away and then takes her hand before smiling. "We do" she nods and then lets her fingers link with his before walking down the stairs with him. Mia has to admit that today definitely hasn't gone the way that she thought it would go between the wedding and then the guard wanting to kill them to the assassin saving them and giving Mia the coin everything has just completely turned her upside down. She bit on her lip as they moved away from the rookery and out of the temple. She moves closer to him even though he holds onto her hand, as they walk and lets their shoulders bump against each other.
"Before we start thinking about the whole going after the assassin" she whispers softly at him. "Do you want me to take your name? I never really asked you, in Winterfell I still went by Stark so I was wondering if you wanted me to have your name"
