Katherine looks away from Jon and over to Camilla this time a small smile plays at her lips. She had to admit that she has never been like this, never told Jon to go and have some fun. It was probably the blood, she was completely different on human blood than she was on animal blood. She was more bold, more out going and would take more chances, on the animal blood she would do it just to stay alive. "Well I do know a thing or two" she said in a soft tease. A grin pulled at her lips and she pulled the bottom one in between her teeth and bit on it. Katherine could still taste the blood that she had had earlier on it.
Jon starts talking to Camilla and she looks over at the two of them before they are joined by three other men. One of them was the man from earlier and then there was the introductions of the men. One a chemist and the other...
Katherine's mouth dropped open because there was just something so beautiful about him but at the same time there was something else she couldn't pin point but whatever it was she didn't want to know. They got his name, Drake, but his attention was on Katherine as if she was the only one he could really see right now. She tilts her head to the side slightly and a smile pulls as her own lips. "No, the pleasure is all mine" she said softly and pulled her lip in between her teeth. She has never thought of anyone other than Jon to be beautiful but Drake.. Drake was like... well she couldn't describe it and she should look away but she didn't want too.
She knew there was something different about Drake but she wasn't sure what it was, he was beautiful that she already knew and there was a dangerous side to him that made her want to step back but at the same time she liked it. Katherine held her hand out towards him and another smile on her lips once more.

Jon gets that uneasy feeling again, as he stands there watching Katherine smile back at Drake, and Camilla smile at none of this at all. It was as if a switch was flipped the moment the french woman laid eyes upon the man, her playful attitude turning dark and reserved. But Katherine senses none of it. In fact, she replies softly to the man's comment, her eyes remaining entirely upon him as he looks entirely at her, one slender hand held out.
"It could be," Drake replies as he takes her hand, and presses his lips to her knuckles.
"I need a drink." Edric grunts, shoving himself from his chair.
"Now, now, don't go running off." Abraham says, catching Edric before he can leave by the sleeve of his coat. For a moment, there's a flicker of red in Edric's stare, and Jon thinks that the wolf might lash out. But he doesn't. He relents and halts, mouth clenching closed. "Why don't we all convene in my private room. The night has just begun and I am very interested in learning more about all of you." Abraham continues, looking momentarily to Jon. A muscle jumps in Edric's jaw.
"I agree," Drake says, releasing Kat's hand and finally moving his eyes from her to look to Abraham.
"Good, good!" Abraham says with a short laugh, "Come then, follow me." He waves his cane in the direction he intends, and, pulling Camilla with him, leads Dr. Jekyll away from the table and the stage. Drake looks to Katherine once more before following as well, head held high. Edric looks to Jon, his hands balling in fists at his side, but he nods, before turning his gaze on Katherine.
"Better to be in his favor than not." He mutters, and together all three follow the group.
At the back of the room stands another door, and a dark skinned man with spotted scars across his cheeks opens it for them as Abraham approaches. Beyond sits a comfortable looking office, a wide table in the center with a deck of cards at its middle, and extravagant paintings lining the walls. Camilla moves through, lighting candles with nothing at all, keeping her eyes away from Drake as the others find chairs.

Drake speaks and she can't help but laugh softly and then he kissed her knuckles. His lips against her skin made it tingle but the only time she felt that was when Jon kissed her, when he kissed her skin when she was completely human. There was definitely six centuries worth of distance from her human side and now but she still remembered the feeling.
For a moment Katherine held his gaze and then slowly she looked away and over to where Jon was. Her brown eyes watching him before she looked back at Drake. Abraham said about leaning more about them and that they should go into his private room and then Drake slowly let go of her hand and she finally looked away once more.
Katherine wasn't sure she felt comfortable telling them everything about herself, only Jon knew how she turned and that was the only person who knew that she had died in King's Landing the day that they attacked and then was turned into a vampire and six centuries later they all were here. Saying all of that to these people who she didn't know didn't seem like the best option.
Edric spoke to her and for the first time she looked at him without no anger or disgust in her eyes. Soon they all followed into the room, Katherine near the back of the three before finding a seat. Talking about how she had died because of her sister was going to open wounds up that she didn't want to open. It was going to take her down a long path of remembrance and she never wanted that. Katherine wanted to forget about Westeros and how she had turned and start thinking about how many drinks she was going to be having.
Instead she slid her hand into Jon's and gripped his hand with enough pressure before smiling at him and letting go.

They all file into this room, finding seats for themselves around the table, drinks already being placed in front of them. Jon sits on one side Katherine, her hand taking his momentarily with a squeeze. This is not the first time he's found himself at a table like this, with dangerous strangers like this. He remembers Dragonstone. The tense air, the watching eyes, the anxiety leaking through his veins. This feels like that, as if the word war is about to spill from someone's mouth.
At that thought, he glances over just in time to see Drake take the seat on Katherine's other side, smoothly unbuttoning his suit jacket as he does, all lanky gracefulness.
Edric does not sit. He stands near the door, leaning against the red-painted walls, face half-hidden in shadow.
"Before we begin, a toast," Abraham says, lifting his glass in the air. Drake does not hesitate to follow suit, lifting his own with a smile upon his lips. Dr. Jekyll is already drinking his down, uninhibited. Jon looks down to his, only now seeing it having not seen anyone set one before him, and just stares. Their glasses, all of them, swirl with blood. The familiar scent fills his nostrils, the same scent that had spilled like fire onto the ice when the first knife plunged into his stomach, and for a flash of a moment he sees raven's wings flap across his vision. He clenches his jaw, and leaves it untouched. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees Camilla watching him curiously. "To new friends."
"To new friends," Drake repeats, and places the glass to his lips. Before he drinks, he slides his black eyes towards Katherine, and lets the blood slide down his throat.
"Get on with it," Dr. Jekyll grunts, wiping his mouth with his sleeve, but blood still remains at the corner of his lips.
"Patience," Abraham chuckles a little. "Patience, we have new ones here tonight. Edric, you do not wish to join us?" He asks, looking to the wolf lingering at the back.
"No." He replies with a slow blink. "I don't need to talk to any spirits or have my fate read."
Abraham smiles a little knowingly, "No, I suppose not."

Katherine looks over at Drake when he takes the seat next to her. She gives him a soft smile before looking down at the glass that seemed to have appeared before her and she saw the red blood. She had seen what losing control had done with Adrian and even herself when she had lost a little bit of control before but that hadn't lasted for long and in the end she managed to get back on track and now here she was with another glass of no doubt human blood and she could feel herself wanting to drink it, wanting to take it and knock it back but she couldn't afford to lose control again. She had a man who loved her, Katherine glanced at Jon, and a vampire who she had quizzed before she left about losing control.
What would it look to them if she suddenly found herself wanting to take more from humans than just their money?
There was a fight going on inside of her, the vampire voice telling her to grab the drink and just drink it and the human voice that said to her 'what would Jon think?'. She knew all of these fights before and had prouded herself on not giving into the blood lust but here she was wanting to drink another glass of human blood. She moved her eyes away from Jon and back to the glass before she sat back in her seat and away from the glass. This really was how addictions started and she didn't want to find herself counting the bodies or even remembering the faces of the people she killed in years to come.
Katherine gave Jon's hand another squeeze because at the moment he was the only thing keeping her from going over that edge. Maybe writing him letters had kept her sane too and maybe that was why there were more letters under her bed in a box that she hadn't sent to those ports. Maybe those letters were the deepest parts of her soul laid bare on a piece of paper that she didn't want him to see. It probably was a lot of pressure for him to know he was the only thing keeping her from falling off the wagon but he was the man that she loved. Katherine gave him a soft smile before looking forward once more, her hand still tightly in his.
She couldn't afford to lose control but there was a part of her that wanted too.

As Drake swallows, he notices Katherine's untouched glass, her hesitation. He sets his own down upon the table's surface, swirling a finger around the rim to collect the last few thick drops lingering behind, and rolls his tongue against his fingertip to lightly suck it off.
Abraham takes his seat at the table, scooting in closer and waving a waitress in to set down more drinks. This time it is not blood. Instead, glasses of amber liquor are given to them instead, the sweet aroma of whiskey replacing the cold, dead scent that had been wafting around his head. He takes it gladly, drinking it down. "Dr. Jekyll, you were telling us about your latest project. A...serum? You called it?" The owner of this strange place speaks, striking up conversation as if this were any other dinner party.
Dr. Jekyll grunts, no sign of interest or pleasure crossing his face. "For soldiers." He says, his words clipped and simple. Jon only now notices the slight way his head jerks every so often. "Give them strength, speed. I er...ran the first tests last week." He continues, another small jerk of his head, his fist drums impatiently on the table. "Did not go as planned."
"Shame." Abraham frowns a little, noticing the same behavior. Jon glances back slightly towards Edric, meeting his eye.
"If it's strength and speed you are looking for, it will not be found in a chemical." Drake speaks, lowering his finger from his lips and resting his hand upon the table. "Look around," he says, motioning with a lazy incline of his head towards the rest of the people in the room, settling upon Katherine for a moment, "Blood is what drives a man."
"I'm sure you know all about blood, Vladimir." Dr. Jekyll almost spits, anger flashing in his eyes. But the other man does not react in quite the same way. Instead, he just smiles handsomely, though a sort of darkness lingers in his already black irises as he looks back to the scientist.
"Sir de Ville," Abraham speaks, changing the subject swiftly, "is a sort of fanatic for ancient wars, a purveyor of antique weapons." He explains with a polite smile.
"The more battle-worn, the better." Drake adds on with a hint of humor, but his gaze shifts towards Jon, "It seems as if you have seen a bit of battle yourself." He comments, motioning to his own cheek the same place where Jon has his scars. Jon tries to hide his frown. "Africa?"
"Different war," Jon replies, forcing half a smile, "A spurned lover."
Drake's smile comes much easier, and he laughs a little under his breath.

Katherine looks over at Drake when he puts his glass down on the table and uses his finger to wipe up the blood, her fangs start slipping out. This has never happened before. She clears her throat softly and looks away. She's thankful when the red stuff is replaced by something else and lets the smell of the whiskey try to distract her senses of blood but even she knows that it's not going to take long before she wants more and more.
She quickly grabs for the glass and knocks the drink back and hisses slightly. Then Katherine waved the glass in the air for the waitress to pour some more in her glass and thankfully they do.
This time Katherine doesn't knock it back but savours it and puts the glass back on the table. The conversation that the chemist and the owner starts up grabs her attention especially when the man starts to act as if he has tried the serum himself and clearly hasn't given him the abilities that he wants it for. She bites on her lip.
Drake speaks about blood and she glanced down to the other glass that was still sitting in front of her as if it can tempt her to drink it. Maybe it could but right now she knew that she didn't want too even if everything in her was screaming to take the glass and knock the blood back.
Katherine moved her eyes over to look at Jon when Drake said about his scars. She hadn't known much about Jon's life prior to her coming to Castle Black all of those centuries ago, mostly because she wasn't sure she could ask but a spurned lover? was that how he got those scars? Jon had had them when she got to the wall so now it all made sense. If that was the real reason.
"You never said" Katherine kept her eyes on Jon.

Jon glances towards Katherine when she speaks, reminding him of all the times he's failed to ever mention Ygritte to her. Six centuries, and he's kept the wildling close to his chest like a secret. And it's not as if he's been worried about hurting Katherine, worried about making her jealous, not when Ygritte was already dead by the time they confessed their feelings for one another. But there are some ghosts best left buried. Ygritte got her peace. She deserves to keep it.
Especially from the man who betrayed her.
He just smiles faintly and says nothing, lowering his eyes down to the glass that's been refilled sometime during the conversation, tapping his fingers lightly upon its sides.
"All's fair in love and war," Drake comments, the sly smile still lingering at the edges of his mouth, "And the heart can be the most brutal weapon of all." Jon looks to him briefly, before picking up his drink and swallowing down a large swallow of the whiskey. "But perhaps a different topic," Drake says, leaning back in his chair but letting his hand spin circles around the rim of his glass. His eyes fall back to Katherine, a flicker of interest lying there. "Tell me about yourself."

Katherine watches as Jon looks down and she sighed softly under her breath. She knew how that sounded and that was the last thing she wanted, never wanted him to feel uncomfortable. She was starting to realise just how bad her words could sound, then decides to reach over and grabs the glass of whiskey and was about to lift the glass to her lips when Drake spoke and she slowly moved her eyes over to him. She raises an eyebrow.
She never said anything about the whole the heart being brutal thing because she honestly had no idea what to say. Katherine would tell someone if they displeased her, there was no point in playing games and using someone's heart against them was the most cruel thing that anyone could do. While she wasn't any saint, far from it actually, the one thing she wouldn't do is play games with Jon's heart. His secrets was his own and she had her own secrets. It wasn't going to keep her up at night over the fact that he had had a spurned lover. It wasn't going to worry her that he might still love her too.
What Jon did with his heart was up to him.
Drake then said about telling him about herself and for a moment Katherine hesitated because of the fact that she never needed to tell anyone about her, mostly because she hadn't meet much people. Plus she was able to use compulsion so that they didn't ask much questions of her but this, this made her feel like she couldn't get out of it. It made her seem as if she was going to have to spill some of her secrets. Spill some of herself so that it would please Drake. "What do you want to know?" she muttered and let her brown eyes look over his face.

Abraham had lost interest in this particular conversation, turning his attention instead towards Dr. Jekyll, asking more about this supposed serum he is concocting -- a serum that seems to have left the scientist upon the edge of a very hazardous cliff. But Drake's focus is entirely on Katherine, that smile still upon his lips, showing the sharp edge of his canine. "Where you're from, what brought you here," he lists off, shrugging his shoulder a little and inclining his head to the side, "You don't have to share all your secrets, but I am interested." He admits, smile ticking a little further.
But then he pulls in a breath and sits forward, resting an elbow upon the edge of the table, putting himself just at the edge of Katherine's space. "If it makes you feel better, I...was born in Romania," He begins, still watching her, "In a little village that no longer exists. I've seen the world but somehow, London always pulls me back. Maybe it's the air. Maybe it's the people..." He says, and his eyes momentarily drift over her, lingeringly, until they return to her eyes.
"See?" He says, cocking his head to the side. "Not hard."
"Edric," Camilla whispers, turning herself to put her back to the table, her hand gripping to his arm. He breaks his eyes away to look down at her, seeing the slight line of worry between her brows, "This man. I do not trust him." She says, her voice quiet and low. Her fingers dig into his wrist, nails biting in.
"No," Edric murmurs, looking in the direction of the man talking closely with Katherine, "I don't either."

Katherine can't help but raise her eyebrow once more when he starts asking questions and for a moment she looks down. He then answers the questions himself just to prove to her that it was easy. She wanted to spill everything in her to this mind and everything that she has ever done but at the same time she wanted to keep her secrets to herself. To get away from this man and stay at the same time. There was something about him and nothing at all. It was all very confusing to her especially when she has never felt anything like this before.
It was like he was demanding it and yet there was nothing in his words that would suggest it at the same time. But he only had eyes for her, like the rest of the room didn't exist. Like it was only the two of them; no Jon, Edric or anyone else. It made her feel happy but at the same time it made her feel uneasy too.
"I was born in a castle that doesn't exist either" she admitted. Katherine glanced over at Jon and bit on her lip once more before looking back at Drake. "This place reminds me of home but at the same time it doesn't" that probably didn't make sense because this was actually King's Landing before it even became London. That word actually made her want to stab the person who thought it up. Westeros was gone and yet there wasn't anything that would make people know of it's History. It just was gone. "I had a family" she nodded.
Katherine wasn't sure what else she could really say. "I came here looking for somewhere to stay for a little while and ended up staying for over four years so there is that" she laughs softly and looks down. She was about to say that she had her own business but something stopped her from saying it. "And Jon has recently joined me, haven't you my love" she said looking over at him and smiling.

Jon nurses his whiskey, expecting Katherine to blow off this man like any other nosy flirt that's ever nipped at her heels. But after a moment of quiet, she speaks, telling half-truths to a stranger that leaves the whiskey twisting in his gut each time he looks at him. Brows furrowing close, Jon lowers the glass slowly from his lips, looking towards Katherine at his side.
"A castle?" Drake repeats, that interested spark flickering once more in his eyes as a brow arches upwards. "I've known a few castles in my time." But Katherine mentions Jon, and as if a spell is momentarily broken, Drake's dark eyes turn towards him and that spark fades. With the hand resting upon the table, he twists a silver ring on his finger with the pad of his thumb. In the candlelight, the symbol of a dragon glitters there, wrapped in its own tail. But a spot of red, darkened with passing hours, stains the silver. Jon notices it, for just that brief moment, and his brows twitch close.
Drake's hand shifts away to take hold of the glass of whiskey, pulling it closer. "They say the heart grows fonder with distance," he speaks nonchalantly, lifting his glass, "Did you find that to be true?"
Jon lifts his eyes back to Drake's face, "Something like that."
"Where were you for those four years, may I ask?" Drake continues, watching him as he sips at the whiskey. But the corner of his nostril curls slightly, clearly not liking the taste.
"Working." Jon relies, simply. "I was a sailor on a trading vessel."
"Was?" Drake lifts a brow once more, setting the glass down.
"I might look into other work now I am back," Jon replies, giving him a terse smile, "I've always fancied myself a man of justice. And with all the murders happening in London," he says, his voice carrying a little throughout the room and drawing the eyes of Abraham and Jekyll. "Perhaps I'll pursue something in that."
But Drake just smiles, his eyes narrowing a little upon Jon. "How noble."

Katherine smiles when Drake mentions about the fact that he's known a few castles in his time and she wants to ask but at the same time she wants to turn her head away and strike up a conversation with Jon. She feels like there is tension between the two of them but she's not sure what the tension would be, this was two men that was talking. Although Katherine felt like everything she said was a bit more easier to say than most times. It wasn't the whiskey because she would have to have a lot of that before she even felt the buzzing feeling that she would've felt as a normal human.
Maybe it was the human blood that she had had earlier, maybe it was affecting her in different ways because of the fact that she hasn't had it in a very long time. But Katherine had to admit that she felt a little bit more stronger when she did have human blood, as if the world was hers for the taking. But she couldn't tell that to Jon because he would give her that worried look and she never liked to see that on his face. Katherine had been alright without him for the four years that she had been here and she was going to be alright now.
Jon spoke about getting a new job now that he was here and there was a feeling in her that made her give him a soft smile. It meant that he was going to be staying and not leaving again, she was happy about that because it meant that he would be staying here with her. Katherine grabbed her drink off the table and then taking a sip of it.
She was surprised that he would be willing to join the force, if that's what he was on about, but when he spoke about the recent murders her conversation with Adrian came back to her and a small frown pulled at her lips. She just hoped that when they got back he would be alright with her; the hurt look on his face couldn't last forever could it? At that thought Katherine knocked back the rest of her drink.
Her eyes caught on the glass of blood and she bit on her lip before bringing it towards her once more.

There's a beat of silence as Jon and Drake stare at one another with Katherine between them, the latter still carrying a hint of a smile on his lips -- one that is almost taunting. Jon forces a smile back as well, but his is mirthless and a little angry. Upon the table, his hand turns slowly into a fist.
"I think we should be going," Edric suddenly speaks, breaking the quiet. He moves passed Camilla towards the table, laying a hand on Jon's shoulder and giving him a subtle pull to get him to move. Abraham's brows dart upwards, attention flicking away from the pair of men to the wolf standing tall over them all. "I appreciate...the hospitality," Edric speaks, and Jon finally lets himself be guided up and out of his chair, his hand relaxing slowly at his side. "But it's getting late."
"Shame," Abraham says, rising from his own chair with a clearing of his throat, "I do hope that you all join us again." He says, nodding to Jon and Katherine with a friendly smile.
"Of course." Edric replies. Still holding tight to Jon's shoulder, he turns him towards the door of the back room, pulling him away from this place and these people. Camilla momentarily catches Edric's wrist, rising to her tip-toes to whisper something quietly in his ear, before they continue on.
Drake rolls his tongue against his lower lip, smile ticking a little wider as his gaze drops to the table for a moment, and then he too stands. "Katherine," he calls before she can follow to leave, buttoning his suit jacket once more with long, elegant fingers. "I have enjoyed meeting you," he tells her, smile turning warm. "Perhaps, if you are interested in attending, I am having a...er...small get-together a few nights from now. Nothing too formal. But I would love to continue getting to know you. Here..." he pauses for a moment to tug a small card from within his jacket, flipping it between his fingers to hold out towards her. The same dragon sigil stains the card in black ink, and beneath reads his address and information. "Come if you like." He tells her. And then, leaning in close for just a breath, his mouth close to her ear, he says quietly, voice like liquid silver, "Leave Jon at home."

Katherine could feel the tension between the two of them as if they were going to fight but she was in the middle of them and that was the only thing keeping them from going for each other. In the end she didn't actually drink the blood because Edric said about them going and he had walked over to get Jon. She put the glass back down and then started to slowly get up from the table. She gave Abraham a smile and a nod to indicate that she probably would be back, she wasn't sure when but would definitely end up coming back. She liked the feel of this place.
She watched as Edric and Jon moved towards the door and then she finally stood up straight.
Katherine heard her name and looked over to where Drake was. "I enjoyed meeting you too" she said with a smile back. She hadn't been asked to any get together's while she has been here, mostly because of the fact that she runs a brothel and stays away from the rich but apparently tonight everything has changed. There was this feeling in her that wanted to accept and she looked down at the small card that she gave him, her eyes looking at the dragon on there and remembered the Targaryen three headed sigil back in Westeros and the dragons that Jon had after Dany had died. She bit on her lip and looked up at him once more when he said about her coming if she liked too and found that there was a part of her that did actually want too.
She then heard his voice in her ear about leaving Jon at home and she knew that she would have to do that. Katherine turned her head and looked at him, her eyes looking over his face and in a whisper she said "I will"
